Asia Pacific Poker Tour - Terms & Conditions
- The following are the terms and conditions of the "PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT)" which consists of tournaments ("Tournaments") organized by the operator ("PokerStars") of the Internet site found at www.pokerstars.com (the "Site"). Your participation in these Tournaments shall be deemed to be your complete acceptance of the terms and conditions herein.
- PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Satellites may qualify you for APPT events.
- The Asia Pacific Poker Tour reserves the right to makes additions or alterations to the schedule.
- Entrants must be 18 years of age or over the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction (whichever is greater) to play either in satellites or in any of the Events. Additionally, entrants must ensure they are the legal age required to enter a casino at the event they qualify for (this can vary from event to event). All players will be required to produce proof of age (passport or other valid picture ID). Any player unable to produce such proof of age will be disqualified from participation in any of the Events, and no refund of any kind will be made.
- By participating in a satellite of any kind on PokerStars, or in any Tournament, you are deemed to have granted PokerStars the right to use your name, likeness, voice and image in marketing and promotion campaigns in any media whatsoever without further compensation and you expressly waive any claims against PokerStars in this regard.
- You further agree to help promote PokerStars and act as a PokerStars spokesperson during and after the Events, including, but not limited to, meeting with press and participating in other events conducted by PokerStars.
- If you have qualified for the Event on the Site and reach the final table of the Event, you are required by PokerStars to wear PokerStars logo clothing at the final table. You hereby agree to do so. All players who qualify through Frequent Player Point satellite tournaments, Tournament Leader Board or other non-cash satellites on the Site, or that have bought in with T$ or FPPs, are required to wear PokerStars logo-wear exclusively throughout the Event.
- All APPT events are sanctioned by the Asia Pacific Poker Tour. You acknowledge and agree that the Asia Pacific Poker Tour requires all players in APPT events to sign a waiver prior to the beginning of each Event that includes permission to film and broadcast your participation in the APPT Event. The Asia Pacific Poker Tour agreement (which may be modified from time to time) is available for your review. Simply contact appt@pokerstars.com if you wish to view the agreement prior to an event.
- The first prize package you win for an Event, whether through a Satellite or in any other way on the Site, is non-transferable and non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for money or money’s worth. If you win, you must play or forfeit the package. If you win additional prize packages, they may not be sold or transferred and your PokerStars account will be credited with both T-Money equal to the value of the entry/accommodation package plus the nominated spending/travel cash for the Event. Notwithstanding, should you win an additional prize package with a higher total value than your first prize package then you must play or forfeit such additional higher total value prize package and the lower value prize package shall be credited to your PokerStars account as per the conditions set out.
- If you win a preliminary APPT satellite that awards a seat into a subsequent satellite (rather than an APPT event itself), you may unregister from the target satellite and you will receive T$ equal to the buy-in of that satellite. You may use those T$ to enter a direct satellite to any APPT event.
- APPT Steps tickets are valid only for entry into APPT Steps tournaments. APPT Steps tickets are not transferable to other players. APPT Steps tickets are not redeemable for cash or any other value.
- PlatinumStar or Supernova VIP players may directly purchase a seat into an APPT event with T$, subject to availability. For more details contact appt@pokerstars.com
- When playing in a Satellite you affirm that the name, email address, postal address, and phone number(s) associated with your PokerStars account are accurate, and agree that the person whose name appears on any PokerStars account which wins a package will be deemed to be the person who played and won the Satellite, and that person must attend and play in the Event. Any attempt by a player to alter or duplicate their PokerStars account to become eligible for a Tournament will result in forfeiture of any prize won and may result in the closure of such player's PokerStars account. In the case of disputes in regards to the participation rights, all matters relating to the awarding of the prizes and or the terms and conditions of the Event, the final decision lies with PokerStars management, is binding and shall not be subject to review or appeal by an entrant or any third party.
- In the event that for any reason whatsoever any winning entrant does not take an element of a prize at a time stipulated by PokerStars, then such winning entrant shall be deemed to have forfeited his/her claim to such prize and PokerStars shall not have any obligation to compensate the winning entrant in any way.
- Prior to playing in any of the Events, you will be required to sign a paper version of these Terms and Conditions. Failure to do so will result in your disqualification from participation in the Event without refund or compensation. In case of any disputes regarding any terms or conditions of any Asia Pacific Poker Tour satellite event, the decision of PokerStars management is final.
- Employees and relatives of employees of PokerStars and any entities affiliated or related to PokerStars are not eligible to enter any Satellite or Tournament. For these purposes, the term "relative" shall mean spouse, partner, parent, child or sibling.
- During the Event, strict rules regarding player behavior will be enforced. These may include penalties, up to and including disqualification, for foul language; abuse of dealers, players or any other person during the Event; or any other behavior that PokerStars, in its sole judgment, believes to be detrimental to its conduct of the Events.
- By entering into a Satellite or a Tournament each entrant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless PokerStars, their legal representatives, their affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any damages whatsoever, including any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the acceptance of any prizes.
- PokerStars reserves the right, at any time, to alter these terms and conditions at is sole discretion, including to cancel, modify or suspend a Tournament or Satellite if, at its sole discretion, PokerStars believes that the Satellite or Tournament is not capable of being conducted as specified.
- All players participating in a Satellite must abide by all PokerStars terms of service requirements as listed at /poker/room/tos/, and by PokerStars general tournament terms and conditions listed at /poker/tournaments/rules/. These terms and conditions and matters relating hereto shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with Isle of Man law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Isle of Man courts.
