Marvin Rettenmaier wins FPS Grand Final in Paris

The first-ever Season of the France Poker Series has concluded in exciting fashion with a stunning Grand Final event in the nation’s capital Paris. The event attracted a field of 567 players, creating a total prize pool of nearly one million Euros - €979,776 to be exact. It was Marvin Rettenmaier who emerged victorious after four days of intense action, winning the championship title and €244,036 in first place prize money.

Season 1 was a big success, as the tour visited five of France’s most prestigious poker destinations. It all started with a bang in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, with 149 players registering for the event. A total of 22 places were paid, and there was a familiar winner - Team PokerStars Pro Jose Barbero from Argentina, who pocketed €40,123 for the win.  Next, the tour visited Divonne-les-Bains where Serge Didisheim claimed the title, before the event in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux where David Jaoui took it down.

Christophe Monnin secured the glory at FPS Lyon, claiming the championship title and €88,444 in first place prize money. While at the penultimate stop in Forges-les-Eaux, Mathieu Thiry won the title from a field of 265 players, collecting €75,000 and a seat at the Grand Final for the win. Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier also made a deep run, eventually finishing in 5th.
