PokerStars sponsors the Isle of Man TT Races
The Isle of Man TT Races celebrated its centenary this year, marking 100 years of the world's most famous motorcycle road race, and PokerStars was proud to be a partner sponsor for the main event.
This year's TT Races saw tens of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts packing the island's narrow, winding roads for two weeks of festivities and high-octane racing action.
For two weeks of every year, the eyes of the racing world focus on the Isle of Man as the finest road racers on the planet pit their skills - and nerves - against the 37.75 miles of public roads that form the legendary TT circuit.The event was born with the passing of the Isle of Man's 1904 law, allowing roads to close for the Gordon Bennett car trials. With road closure and speed limit laws preventing a much-wanted British motorcycle race on UK roads, the organiser, the Auto Cycle Club, turned to the Isle of Man and, in 1907, the TT was born.
Some of this year's most exciting moments involved PokerStars' sponsored riders. Dave Molyneux and Rick Long claimed victories in the sidecar events and their wins secured their place as the most successful driver and passenger team in the TT Races' long history.
