Norwegian Championship – online satellites and qualifiers

Get ready for the Norwegian Championship of poker in Dublin! The live events will be held at CityWest hotel right outside of the Irish capital from March 24 to April 1, and you can qualify for free with PokerStars!

The Norwegian Championship is one of the hottest events on the poker schedule, and freerolls as well as cash qualifiers for all the live events are running now.

How to qualify for the Norwegian Championship of poker

Monday is the big NM freeroll day at PokerStars, and you can win seats for all NM satellites here. Qualifiers run daily except for Saturdays until March 4 at the times listed below.

Do you want to play NM satellites for only a fraction of the buy-in? Then you can qualify through our Turbo satellites! They start an hour and a half before the target tourneys, at 19.00 CET.

You find all qualifiers in the PokerStars lobby under the Tournaments > Regional tab, or write “Norge” in the tournament filter.

NOTE: All satellite qualifiers to NM Main Event will automatically be registered in Day 1A. If you wish Day 1B to be your starting day, please send an email to support@pokerstars.com with your request.

Direct buy-in

PokerStars players with VIP status SilverStar and higher can buy in to €800 NM Main Event. You can choose whether you want to play Day 1A (wed 28 March) or Day 1B (thur 29 March), tournament numbers T#509364088 og T#509364151, respectively. Use the tournament filter to find the easily. The last date for direct buy-in through the PokerStars client is March 16. Unfortunately we will not offer DBI to other events during the Norwegian Championship.

In Dublin

PokerStars will have our own lounge at the CityWest hotel where the players can pick up their player bags and gear. From 24 to 27 of March the lounge will be open from 10 to 16, and during Day 1A & B of the Main Event from 10 to 14. We will also serve refreshments, and all PokerStars qualifiers are more than welcome to drop by also after having picked up their gear for a chat. We look forward to seeing you in Dublin!

Last longer

Like in previous championships, we would like to give our players who make it far in the Main Event an extra incentive. If you as a PokerStars qualifier win the Main Event we give you buy-in for EPT8 Berlin, EPT9 San Remo or EPT9 Praha + hotel (worth  €6720) in addition to a prize package to next year’s Norwegian Championship worth €3100!

If you make it furthest of all PokerStars qualifiers, we give you a NM package which includes hotel and buy-in for next year’s Main Event and HUP worth about €3100.

The players who come 2nd – 5th of all PokerStars players in the Main Event receive buy-in for next year’s event, worth €800 per prize.

PokerStars Live Events Promotions - Terms and Conditions

1. Entrants must be 18 years of age or over the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction (whichever is greater) to participate in this promotion. You may be asked at any stage to provide PokerStars or a third party with proof of age and/or identity (passport or valid picture ID). Any player unable to produce such proof of age will be disqualified from this Promotion.
2. By participating in a satellite or qualifying tournament for this promotion, you grant PokerStars the right to use your name and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation. You further agree to help promote PokerStars and act as a PokerStars spokesperson during and after the events, including but not limited to, meeting with press and participating in other events conducted by PokerStars.
3. If you have qualified for the promotion via a PokerStars online satellite you are required by PokerStars to wear PokerStars logo clothing throughout the event. You hereby agree to do so. You cannot wear any other logos regardless of whether such logo is of a competitor or non-competitor (e.g. no clothing companies, jewelry, energy drinks, training sites or other logos). PokerStars or its agents, reserve the right to withhold any or all of the benefits detailed herein if it is determined that you are in violation of this rule. All decisions are final.
4. The first prize package you win for this event, whether through an online satellite or in any other way on PokerStars, is non-transferable and non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for money or money's worth. If you win, you must play or forfeit the package. If you win additional prize packages, they may not be sold or transferred and your PokerStars account will be credited with T-Money equal to the value of the entry/accommodation package for this event. If you win money in any of the events that you have qualified or bought in for via PokerStars, you will only receive up to the double of the buy-in for that event in cash. The remaining prize money will be credited your PokerStars account.
5. For the avoidance of doubt, this promotion is valid for all entrants qualified online via PokerStars for the entirety of the event with the sole exception of members of "Team PokerStars Pro", PokerStars employees and their relatives.
6. All players participating in an online satellite for this event must abide by all PokerStars terms of service requirements as listed at www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/tos/, and by PokerStars general tournament terms and conditions listed at www.pokerstars.com/poker/tournaments/rules/.
7. These terms and conditions and matters relating hereto shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with Isle of Man law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Isle of Man courts.
8. In case of any disputes regarding any participation rights, all matters relating to the awarding of prizes and/or these terms or conditions, the final decision lies with PokerStars management, is binding and shall not be subject to review or appeal by an entrant or by any third party.
