PokerStars.com 5th Anniversary Promotion

It's hard to believe, but PokerStars is celebrating its fifth anniversary. The 12-day celebration will include - Anniversary Hands, Freerolls, even a 25% birthday bonus. We're giving away more than $500,000 in free cash to our players as a big thank you for making our first five years so special.

Win an anniversary hand -- Win real money!

Beginning around 6:00pm ET on December 22, 2006 and running through January 2, 2007, PokerStars will stop a real money cash ring game table every one million hands (starting with hand #7,559,000,000), and award cash prizes to all in these special hands. For each Anniversary Hand, everyone dealt in will win an additional cash prize up to $4,400 based on their PokerStars VIP level and limits they are playing. See the tables below to find out how you can win the biggest prizes.

If you're a PokerStars VIP Club member, you stand to win even more. The higher your VIP level, the more money we'll give you! See the chart below to figure out how much more you can win.

Note: If an anniversary hand results in a split pot, the anniversary prize will be split, as well. In split pot (high-low) games, the anniversary hand award will be split between the high hand and low hand.

Win real cash with play money!

During this promotion, we will also award real money to play money players dealt into our anniversary hands. If you are the winner of a special play money anniversary hand, we'll give you $50. If you don't win the hand, but were dealt in, you still get $10 in real money to use however you like.

Class of 2001 Reunion

With five years under our belts, we thought it was time to bring together the Class of 2001, the players who have been with us since the beginning, and are still active players in 2006, as of December 1. All players who opened an account in the year 2001 will receive a ticket that is good for an entry in to one of two exclusive $25,000 freerolls. The tournaments are December 23rd and 30th at 20:30 ET. What's more, if you opened your account in 2001, we're going to promote you to the PlatinumStar VIP level until the end of January 2007! Thanks for sticking with us since the beginning.

Team PokerStars Pro Freerolls

Team PokerStars Pro isn't going to miss out on the celebration. Throughout the fifth anniversary celebration, PokerStars will host five $1,000 freerolls every day with 10 Frequent Player Point buy-ins. We'll also run one $5,000 freeroll every day with a 50 FPP buy-in. There's a very good chance you'll find one or more of your favorite Team PokerStars Pro members in the field of players. If you knock out a Team PokerStars Pro player, PokerStars will award you a free entry to a $215 Sunday Million tournament. PokerStars Birthday Bonus

Finally, PokerStars is opening up the bonus box for a fifth anniversary deposit bonus. From December 22nd - January 2, we'll give you a 25% bonus on your next deposit (maximum bonus of $150 on a deposit of $600).
