Terms and Conditions

The following are the terms and conditions of the Battle of the Planets promotion ("Promotion"), which consists of Sit & Go tournaments ("S&G"), divisions (“Division”) and tournament leader boards (“TLB”) as organized by the operator ("PokerStars") of the Internet site found at www.pokerstars.com (the "Site"). Your participation in S&Gs on the Site shall be deemed to be your complete acceptance of the terms and conditions herein.

1. Entrants must be 18 years of age or of legal age of majority in their jurisdiction (whichever the greater) to participate in the Promotion. You may be asked at any stage to provide PokerStars or a third party with proof of age and/or identity. All players must be able to present a valid passport or other valid picture ID to verify their age and/or identity. Any player unable to produce such proof of age will be excluded from the Site.
2. By participating in a S&G of any kind on PokerStars, you are deemed to have granted PokerStars the right to use your name, likeness, voice and image in marketing and promotion campaigns in any media whatsoever without further compensation and you expressly waive any claims against PokerStars in this regard. You further agree to help promote PokerStars and the Site and act as a spokesperson for PokerStars.
3. Employees and relatives of employees of PokerStars and any entities affiliated or related to PokerStars are not permitted to participate in the Promotion. For these purposes, the term "relative" shall mean spouse, partner, parent, child or sibling.
4. The Promotion will run on a rolling weekly basis, with prizes issued within three days of the completion of a given week’s play. To be eligible for prizes on a Low Orbit TLB, players must play at least 20 S&Gs within the boundaries of a specific division. To be eligible for prizes on a High Orbit TLB, players must play at least 100 S&Gs within the boundaries of a specific division. The score for an incomplete block of games will not be eligible for any TLB. Fifty50 tournaments do not count towards the Battle of the Planets.
5. The Promotion is subject to change or cancellation by PokerStars at any time and at their sole discretion. Possible changes include, but are not limited to, the payout structure and prizes, the points table, the Divisions and the eligibility of particular S&Gs for the promotion.
6. Players that finish in a prize-awarding position on multiple TLBs in a given week are eligible for all prizes that they have earned.
7. By entering into a S&G each entrant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless PokerStars, their legal representatives, their affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any damages whatsoever, including any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the acceptance of any prizes.
8. PokerStars reserves the right, at any time, to alter these terms and conditions at is sole discretion if PokerStars believes that the Promotion is not capable of being conducted as specified.
9. When participating in any S&G on the Site, you confirm that the name and address which are registered in your PokerStars account are correct and up to date. Any updates should be done before participating in any S&G.
10. In the case of disputes in regards to the participation rights, all matters relating to the awarding of the prizes and or the terms and conditions, the final decision lies with PokerStars management. The decision will be binding and shall not be subject to review or appeal by an entrant or any third party.
11. All players participating in the Promotion must abide by all PokerStars rules, as well as the terms of service requirements as listed at /poker/room/tos/, and by PokerStars general tournament rules listed at /poker/tournaments/rules/. Furthermore, any player seeking to influence the results of the Promotion by playing in S&Gs with a particular opponent, or group of opponents, may be disqualified and excluded from the Promotion.
12. Players may not deal for points in an attempt to influence any part of the Promotion. PokerStars reserves to right to disqualify any player they deem to be guilty of this activity. Anyone found guilty of dealing for points, or trying to deal for points, may face exclusion from the promotion or from the Site, and the confiscation of any prize won as a result of their behavior.
13. These terms and conditions and matters relating hereto shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with Isle of Man law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Isle of Man courts.
