- What is the PokerStars Poker Camp?
- The PokerStars Poker Camp is a two-day, hands-on, learning experience. The first Camp will be held in Barcelona on September 7-8 just before the EPT Barcelona Open. The camps will be headlined by Team PokerStars Pros and combine intermediate and advanced level instruction with the glamorous destinations of our poker tour events
- Which types of poker games will be covered at the Barcelona Poker Camp?
- The Barcelona Poker Camp will focus exclusively on No-Limit Hold'em, particularly deep stack, slow structure, live tournament play. While many of the concepts will be transferable to other poker variations, the Barcelona Poker Camp aims to prepare participants for the EPT Barcelona Open.
- What are the requirements for entering the Barcelona Casino?
- The camp tournament will be held in the Barcelona Casino. An identity card, driving licence or passport must be presented for admission to their premises. Passport only if you are a non-EU citizen.
- What languages will Camp instruction be in?
- Instruction will be in English only.
- How many seats will there be in the Camp?
- The Camp is limited to 60 participants to ensure personal attention through a high instructor:attendee ratio.
- How much is a Camp Package?
- Camp Packages are valued at nearly $4,000. The seat includes 3 nights accommodation, 2 days Camp instruction, breakfast and lunch during the Camp, and $1,000 for travel and other expenses. It also includes a seat in the Camp Tournament worth over $500.
- Can I buy-in directly?
- The majority of Camp Packages can only be won through online qualification tournaments at PokerStars. A small number of seats will be available for PokerStars VIPs through the VIP Store.
- Will there be other Poker Camps?
- Other Camps are being planned for the marquee stops on PokerStars poker tours.
- Does the Poker Camp seat include entry to the EPT Barcelona Open?
- No, the Poker Camp package does not include entry into the EPT Barcelona Open. However, the Camp Tournament will include two seats for the winners.
- Can I sell my Camp Package if I win?
- No, Camp Packages cannot be exchanged for cash value. If you are fortunate enough to win additional seats, you can transfer the extra packages to your friends or family.
- I won! What do I do now?
- You will receive an email from PokerStars describing the basics of the package and telling you what to do next. You will also receive a "follow up" email just prior to the event.
- My package included spending money. What's that for?
- The spending money (which has been credited to your PokerStars account) is to help pay for airfare and other travel expenses.
- Will I have access to my PokerStars account to get cash while I'm attending a PokerStars Poker Camp?
- No. Please bring all the cash you need for incidentals and side play.
