2008 Life Ball Charity Poker Tournaments
PokerStars Life Ball 2008 Charity Event
Win a trip to Vienna by helping PokerStars raise money for Life Ball 2008. Last year, over 45,000 players entered our charity tournaments, helping us to donate over $150,000 to Life Ball. As one of the main sponsors of this year's event, we're giving you the chance to win cash and an exclusive, money-can't-buy Life Ball prize package. The Life Ball weekend kicks off May 3, with freeroll qualifiers running daily from April 25. The more players that enter, the more money we generate for Life Ball!
Life Ball is Europe's largest annual charity event and is dedicated to the fight against AIDS. It takes place at the historic Vienna City Hall, May 17 and will be broadcast live on Austrian TV. Since it began in 1993, Life Ball has raised millions of dollars for AIDS charities* and has helped educate the world about those suffering from the disease. The show itself is a celebration of life. It includes musical performances from the world's best artists, key-note speeches from Hollywood celebrities and glamorous fashion shows from top designers.
Our Life Ball prize package includes:

Freeroll Qualifiers
Round 1 freerolls** will run daily, at 14.10 and 20.10 (ET), from April 25 - May 2
Players finishing in the top 100 will win a seat at the Freeroll Final, May 3.
Life Ball weekend
Day 1 - Saturday May 3
Freeroll Final, 15.00 (ET).
1st place: exclusive Life Ball prize package.
2nd-9th: 2,000 FPP credits, 10th-50th: 1,000 FPP credits, 51st-200th: 500 FPP credits
Day 2 - Sunday May 4
$2,000 freeroll, 13.00 (ET)
Open to all players that make a direct donation of $1 or more to Life Ball. Donations can be made via your PokerStars account, or by making a direct bank transfer to Life Ball. See below for more information.
Freeroll tickets will be credited to each player's PokerStars account, approximately 3 hours before the tournament starts.

$10 goes into the prize pool, $10 goes to charity. PokerStars will match the amount raised. The final figure raised will be doubled if more than 500 players enter.

To make a donation via your PokerStars account, click 'Requests' in the PokerStars lobby, select 'Transfer Funds', choose the amount you want to donate and enter 'Life Ball' in the 'To Player ID' section. Click to confirm your donation.
