Moneymaker Millionaire Rules

All references below are only applicaple to the 2006 Moneymaker Millionaire Promotion. This includes all reference to Round 1, Round 2 or Round 3 tickets and any other terminology that may apply to other current or future PokerStars events.

No purchase necessary.
To enter, simply:
1. Log onto www.PokerStars.com (the “Website”);
2. Where prompted to do so, download the free “PokerStars” game software;
3. Follow the instructions to fill in the registration questionnaire for a free PokerStars account. Participants must provide a valid name, address and e-mail address in addition to confirming that they are of legal age of majority in the jurisdiction in which they reside;
4. Once registered a player will receive:
  1. a username of his/her own choosing along with a password to ensure the privacy of his/her PokerStars account;
  2. a free virtual entry-ticket (the “Ticket”) to participate in a No Limit Texas Hold’em poker tournament on the Website (the “Tournament”).
5. Players may use their Ticket to play in any Round 1 Tournament game. Round 1 Tournament games will be held at least 3 times daily (at the times set forth on the Website) for 20 weeks, between July 15, 2006 and December 2, 2006;
  1. Players may purchase additional Round 1 entry tickets at any time for 10 PokerStars Frequent Player Points.
6. Once a player has decided which Round 1 Tournament they would like to play in they simply double click the tournament link within the PokerStars game software and click “Register.” They then play the poker game in the Round 1 Tournament, online on the Website. Registration to Round 1 Tournaments may be limited.
7. Each player will start with a designated amount of virtual play-money chips (no consideration required at any time during the Contest). The players will then play poker until only the designated number of players remain with play-money chips. There is no possibility of a tie.
8. Thereafter:
  1. The top 50 players, who have accumulated the most play money chips during each Round 1 Tournament game will advance to Round 2. Round 2 Tournament games will be held once a week during the Tournament at the time and day specified on the Website;
  2. The top 240 players, who have accumulated the most play money chips during the weekly Round 2 Tournament games will advance to Round 3. Round 3 Tournament games will be held once a month during the Tournament at the time and day specified on the Website;
  3. Their will be a total of five (5) Round 3 Tournament games, one per month during the Tournament. The players who finish with the top 5 or 6 highest play money chip totals (as set forth below) will be considered “Grand Prize Winners.” Five (5) Grand Prize Winners will be taken from the first three (3) Round 3 Tournament games and 6 Grand Prize Winners will be taken from the last two (2) Round 3 Tournament games. In total there will be 27 Grand Prize Winners.
  4. the players who finish any Round 3 Tournament game with the 6th to 9th or 7th -9th highest play money chip totals, depending on the number of Grand Prize Winners selected in the applicable Round 2 Tournament game, will be considered “Second Prize Winners”. In total there will be 18 Second Prize Winners; and
  5. the players who finish any Round 3 Tournament game with the 10th to 120th highest play money chip totals in the game they have played will be considered “Runner-up Winners”. In total there will be 573 Runner-up Winners throughout the five (5) Round 3 Tournament game;
Odds of winning are determined by the number of participants.
Grand Prize. In accordance with the foregoing rules, Twenty-seven (27) Grand Prizes will be awarded; being one (1) Grand Prize to each of the Grand Prize Winners. Each Grand Prize consists of:
1. hotel accommodations (to be arranged by, and selected in the sole discretion of, PokerStars), for one (1) person plus one (1) guest, for seven (7) nights in the Atlantis Resort and Casino in the Bahamas in January 2007 (the “Trip”). The Grand Prize Winners will be advised of the exact dates upon being confirmed as winners. (Retail Value of US$3,000)
2. One Thousand US dollars (US$1,000) to be used by the winner and his/her guest for travel to and from the Bahamas. The winner and his/her guest shall be solely responsible for arranging and booking their travel to and from the Bahamas and all travel within the Bahamas. PokerStars does not assume any, and hereby disclaims any and all, liability relating to the failure of winner to arrange travel;
3. one (1) free entry to play-for-free at the PokerStars Moneymaker Millionaire Free Poker Challenge Texas Hold’em tournament (the “Challenge”) at the Resort during the Trip, providing the chance to win the following amounts based on their results at the Challenge:

  2nd - US$300,000
  3rd - US$170,000
  4th - US$118,000
  5th - US $86,000
  6th - US $72,000
  7th - US $58,000
  8th - US $44,000
  9th - US $32,000
  10th-13th - $20,000
  14th- 18th - $10,000
  19th-27th - $5,000
  
  * Prize package includes $820,000 in cash and new Aston Martin DB9 automobile valued at $180,000. Cash value may be taken instead of the car.
Second Prizes. In accordance with the foregoing rules, Eighteen (18) Second Prizes will be awarded; being one (1) Second Prize to each of the Second Prize Winners. Each Second Prize consists of:
1. a trip for one (1) person plus one (1) guest to the Resort, including hotel accommodations (to be arranged by, and selected in the sole discretion of, PokerStars), for seven (7) nights in Resort in January 2007 (the “Runner-up Trip”). The Second Prize Winners will be advised of the exact dates upon being confirmed as winners (Retail Value of US$3,000)
2. One Thousand US dollars (US$1,000) to be used by the winner and his/her guest for travel to and from the Bahamas The winner and his/her guest shall be solely responsible for arranging and booking their travel to and from the Bahamas and all travel within the Bahamas. PokerStars does not assume any, and hereby disclaims any and all, liability relating to the failure of winner to arrange travel;
3. One (1) US$8,000 free entry to a tournament at the Resort during the Runner-up Trip.
Runner-up Prizes. In accordance with the foregoing rules, five hundred and fifty-five (555) Runner-up Prizes will be awarded; being one (1) Runner-up Prize to each of the Runner-up Prize Winners. Each Runner-up Prize consists of a cash gift from a total pool of cash gifts of US$169,000. Exact amount of each gift determined on the basis of the scores of each Runner-up Winner.
The total retail value of all prizes that will be awarded in this contest is US$2,548,000.
Each Grand-Prize and Second Prize Winner must confirm to PokerStars (including by providing any documentation requested) that his/her travel (including that of his/her guest) to the Bahamas has been booked by no later than December, 31 2006. Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other prize, competition or offer; without limitation, the Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or combined with any other offer or prize. No refund or compensation of any costs or expenses incurred by a winner or any guest will be made in the event of the cancellation of any flight. Hotel reservation and tournament entries at the Resort are non-refundable, non-transferable and may not be reissued or revalidated.
No cash or prize substitution is allowed.
This contest is open worldwide. It is open to individuals who have the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, except employees of PokerStars, its directors, officers and the employees of its affiliated and associated companies, agents, advertising and promotional agencies, and those of any entity involved in the conduct or promotion of the Contest, related tournaments and members of their respective immediate families living in the same household. This contest is void where otherwise prohibited by law.
All entries become the property of PokerStars.com Only the winners will be contacted following the end of the Tournament, at the telephone number and/or the e-mail address provided on the entry. If a selected entrant cannot be reached within seven (7) business days at the telephone number and/or at the e-mail address provided, such winner shall be deemed to have irrevocably renounced his/her prize and any right to obtain the same. Additionally, upon failure to comply with these rules and all Tournament rules such winner shall be deemed to have irrevocably renounced his/her prize and any right to obtain the same. The name of the winners will appear on the PokerStars.com website for no less than 30 days following selection.
Each winner must comply with all general rules outlined by PokerStars including the Tournament rules, PokerStars general Terms of Service and rules of the tournaments at the Resort. Each winner is solely responsible for any failure on his/her part to abide by any of the foregoing rules and regulations.
By entering this contest, all entrants give PokerStars.com (and all its affiliated and associated entities) the right to include their name and information on any of their mailing lists for promotional purposes relating to PokerStars.com and to use their name in any publicity carried out by them, and agree to grant to PokerStars.com a non-exclusive irrevocable license and right to incorporate, use and reproduce the winner’s photograph, voice, name and likeness in whole or in part in and in connection with the advertising, exhibiting, marketing, promotion and exploitation of their business in any manner, in all media throughout the world. Additionally, each winner must execute a release and affidavit of eligibility in the form to be provided to him/her by PokerStars.com.
Entrants and their guest assume, and hereby fully and finally release, PokerStars and its affiliated or associated companies and all of their respective employees from, any and all liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participation in this Contest, or the use or misuse of any prizes granted herein, including any all and losses, damages, claims, actions and causes of action with respect to the prizes, including without limitation, in connection with travel.
All other expenses on receipt and use of the prizes, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, airport fees, taxes (federal, provincial and local), meals, gratuities, incidental charges, and service charges or facility charges, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner and their guest. Expenses not specifically stated herein will be the sole responsibility of the winner and their guest. It is the sole responsibility of a winner (and his or her guest) to have all necessary documentation required to travel to and from their jurisdiction of residence, and abroad, and to acquire their own insurance (including without limitation, with respect to baggage, travel, health and medical).
PokerStars assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, mutilated, late, misdirected or ineligible entry forms or for any computer, online, human or technical malfunctions that may occur in the administration of the contest. If for any reason this contest is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of PokerStars or any act corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest, PokerStars reserves the right, in its absolute and sole discretion, to disqualify an individual and/or cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. PokerStars shall not be responsible under any condition whatsoever for any problems or technical malfunctions relating to the contest. Any attempt by anyone to damage or disrupt the contest shall be considered a violation under criminal and civil law. PokerStars.com reserves the right to seek damages or other remedies against such person.
In the event of any dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, entries will be deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted during entry. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Winning entries may be required to provide PokerStars with proof that the claimed winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry, or forfeit the prize. All prizes will also be forfeited if it is found that any single individual has registered for multiple accounts regardless of the use of separate email addresses. Each player is only allowed one free entry ticket.
This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
