PokerStars Passport Terms & Conditions

The following are the terms and conditions of the "PokerStars Passport" promotion (the "Promotion") which consists of tournaments ("Tournaments") organized by the operator ("PokerStars") of the Internet site found at www.pokerstars.com (the "Site"). Your participation in Tournaments and/or the Tournament Leader Board shall be deemed to be your complete acceptance of the terms and conditions herein.

Entrants must be 18 years of age or of legal age of majority in their jurisdiction (whichever the greater) to participate in the Promotion. You may be asked at any stage to provide PokerStars or a third party with proof of age and/or identity. All players must be able to present a valid passport or other valid picture ID to verify their age and/or identity. Any player unable to produce such proof of age will be excluded or disqualified from participation in any of the Satellites and Tournaments, without compensation.
By participating in a Tournament of any kind on PokerStars, you are deemed to have granted PokerStars the right to use your name, likeness, voice and image in marketing and promotion campaigns in any media whatsoever without further compensation and you expressly waive any claims against PokerStars in this regard.

You further agree to help promote PokerStars and the Site and act as a spokesperson for PokerStars during and after the Promotion including, but not limited to, meeting with press and participating in other events conducted by PokerStars. The duration of the Promotion shall be December 1st 2007 to December 31st 2007.
Employees and relatives of employees of PokerStars and any entities affiliated or related to PokerStars are not permitted to participate in the Promotion. For these purposes, the term "relative" shall mean spouse, partner, parent, child or sibling.
The PokerStars Passport prize consists of ten live Tournament entries. The first of these Tournaments will be EPT Dortmund 2008. The last of the Tournaments will be the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2009. In the event that the PokerStars Passport winner does not attend either of these events they will still count towards the total of the ten Tournaments.

The remaining eight Tournaments will be selected by the PokerStars Passport winner from any EPT or APPT main event that commences on a date between the first and last Tournament of the PokerStars Passport. The winner may also choose to play in the World Series of Poker Main Event as one of their eight choices.

Each of the ten Tournament entries will include the same benefits as are included in the standard Tournament entry package as offered on the Site. This includes the Tournament buy-in, a standard hotel room for the duration of the Tournament and a fixed allowance for traveling costs.
If the PokerStars Passport winner fails to use of all of their live Tournament entries upon the conclusion of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2009, the remaining entries will be considered forfeit.
The person whose name appears on any PokerStars account which wins a live Tournament entry will be deemed to be the person who played and won the live Tournament entry, and that person must attend and play in the live Tournament. In the event that for any reason whatsoever any winning entrant does not take an element of a prize at a time stipulated by PokerStars, then such winning entrant shall be deemed to have forfeited his/her claim to such prize and PokerStars shall not have any obligation to compensate the winning entrant in any way.
The winners of the live Tournament entry prizes awarded by the Promotion, including the PokerStars Passport, will be required by PokerStars to wear PokerStars logo clothing during the live Tournament(s). You hereby agree to do so.
The winner of the PokerStars Passport must return 10% of any winnings from the ten live Tournaments to PokerStars. The funds will be used in their entirety for the prize pool of promotional Tournaments on the Site. PokerStars will match the player contribution to each of these promotional Tournaments on the Site.
By entering into a Tournament each entrant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless PokerStars, their legal representatives, their affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any damages whatsoever, including any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the acceptance of any prizes.
PokerStars reserves the right, at any time, to alter these terms and conditions at is sole discretion, including to cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion if, in its sole discretion, PokerStars believes that the Promotion is not capable of being conducted as specified.
When participating in the Promotion, you confirm that the name and address which are registered in your PokerStars account are correct and up to date. Any updates should be done before participating in any Tournament.
In the case of disputes in regards to the participation rights, all matters relating to the awarding of the prizes and or the terms and conditions of the Event, the final decision lies with PokerStars' management, is binding and shall not be subject to review or appeal by an entrant or any third party.
All players participating in the Promotion must abide by all PokerStars rules, as well as the terms of service requirements as listed at http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/tos/, and by PokerStars general tournament rules listed at http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/tournaments/rules/.
These terms and conditions and matters relating hereto shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with Isle of Man law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Isle of Man courts.
