Women’s Poker League

Women’s Poker League
  • How am I eligible to play?
  • You must be female and 18 or over to participate.
  • What are the full Terms & Conditions?
  • The PokerStars Women’s Poker League and all related games are restricted to female participants only. The gender for prize winners may be verified by faxing or scanning a passport or government-issued ID, and any male qualifiers will be disqualified. Men who enter the online league will be ineligible to win any prizes, and will be disqualified from the proceedings without compensation. Additionally, allowing a male player to operate your account during any part of this promotion may also render you ineligible for a prize. In matters regarding a winner's eligibility, PokerStars Management decision is final.
  • How do I win?
  • To win a prize, you must be in the top 100 players for a division at the end of the month. The more you play, the better your chances.
  • What can I win?
  • There are cash prizes for everyone in the top 100 of each league at the end of the month. At the end of the year there is an End of Year Final with a $10,000 prize pool, the top players each month receive tickets . For more details, see the Prizes table on the main page.
  • What is the End of Year League Final and how can I win a ticket?
  • In Janary 2013 we will run a $10,000 freeroll, inviting the best league players of 2012 to take part. To win your seat in this tournament you will need to finish in one of the following position in a monthly league:
  • What happens if I win two tickets to the End of Year League Final?
  • There is only one End of Year Final so there is  no advantage in holding more than one ticket to the tournament, however we wish to reward our best league players, so any repeat win wins the price of a $55 Women’s Sunday ticket. If any player finishes in a top  league position and is eligible for a second End of Year Final Ticket, we will instead credit them with a $55 Women’s Sunday ticket. Please write to support@pokerstars.com if you feel you are eligible for a free Women’s Sunday ticket and have not received your prize. Unfortunately we will not be able to transfer End of Year Final tickets to other players.
  • How do I see where I stand in the monthly league?
  • You can find the latest league table on the Rankings page.
  • How often are the rankings updated?
  • At present the rankings are updated daily at the conclusion of every tournament.
  • Are the daily league freerolls part of the league?
  • The daily Women’s Poker League Freerolls award20 seats to  each $0.10 league tournament,  they do not award any league points and play in this tournament will not count towards league rankings.
  • When will I receive my prize money?
  • Prizes will be awarded within 48 hours after the final results for the month are published on the web site.
  • What happens if players tie for points in the league?
  • In a scenario where two or more players finish with the same number of points, the prize money for both places will be added and then divided equally between the players. For example, if two players scored 100 points at the end of the league and they are placed in the 3rd and 4th positions in the rankings table, then according to the payout structure for the Women's Poker League $1.10 league - the prize money of $140 (for the 3rd place) and $120 (for the 4th place) will be added and divided by the number of players (in this case two) and distributed evenly. So in this case it will be ($140+$120)/2 = $130 for each player.
  • Do the results from the PokerStars Women’s Poker League also count towards the Multi-Table Tournament Leader Board (TLB)?
  • No - the results from the PokerStars Women’s Poker League do not count towards the TLB.
  • Can I play all nine league tournaments each day?
  • No, we restrict players to one game a day in each level of the league. You could play one tourney in the $0.10 buy-in league, one in the $1.10 league, and one in the $5.50 league per day but not two tourneys of the same league buy-in.
  • Why do you restrict players to one league tourney each day?
  • Because the majority of players will only be able to play one tourney each day, it would give an unfair points advantage to those few players who were regularly available to play two or three.
  • I have a question that is not answered on your web pages. What do I do now?
  • Please email your question support@pokerstars.com. Our support team will do their best to answer your question fast.
