Canadian Players FAQs

Below are some questions and answers that concern recent changes with PokerStars' deposit and cashout options. These changes affect only players in Canada. Players in all other countries except the United States can continue to use their regular deposit and cashout options as usual. For details on changes in the United States, please visit the U.S. Players FAQs.

NETeller FAQs

  • What are the changes with NETeller?
  • As of March 26, 2007 NETeller stopped allowing transfers directly to online gaming sites via instaCASH.

As of April 9, 2007 NETeller has ceased allowing all transactions to and from online gaming sites for Canadian players.
  • Can I still deposit using NETeller?
  • Unfortunately, no. NETeller is no longer processing any deposits for PokerStars' Canadian players.
  • Can I still cash out to NETeller?
  • As of April 9, 2007 this option is no longer available. NETeller is not accepting any more cashout requests from Canadian players' PokerStars accounts.
  • Will my NETeller account be closed?
  • NETeller will not close your account. After April 9, 2007 you will still be able to use your NETeller account at non-gaming sites. You will also still be able to do peer-to-peer transfers at NETeller as well as use your NETeller ATM card.
  • NETeller is still a cashout option on the Cash Out screen. Can I still use it?
  • If you do select NETeller as your cashout option, your funds will be placed in a pending queue at PokerStars. Your funds won't be sent to NETeller though and your cashout will be cancelled. Your funds will be credited back to your PokerStars balance. Please choose another cashout method instead of NETeller.
  • What happens if I have already cashed out of PokerStars to NETeller?
  • If your funds have not already been credited to your NETeller account, then you will not receive your cashout to NETeller.

If your cashout was automatically sent to NETeller when you requested your funds, then your cashout was declined immediately after your request was processed. The funds were returned to your PokerStars account balance. You will need to cash out again and select another cashout method on the Cash Out screen.

If your cashout was not automatically processed, then your funds are in a pending state at PokerStars and will be cancelled and returned to your PokerStars account balance within 72 hours of when you made your request. You will then need to make another cashout request and select another cashout method on the Cash Out screen.
  • When I cash out, the screen says that my funds will be sent to NETeller. What do I do?
  • Even though the screen says that your funds will be sent to NETeller, your cashout will not be successful. Please go ahead and request your cashout request anyway.

Your request will be declined and the funds will then be returned to your PokerStars account balance. You can then immediately make another cashout request and choose how you'd like to receive your funds other than NETeller.
