Receiving Checks from PokerStars
In addition to being able to receive checks in US dollars, PokerStars has introduced the option for players residing in other countries to receive checks in their local currency. This means that you can now receive your winnings faster and not have to pay fees for depositing USD checks into your foreign currency bank account.
PokerStars offers players the option of receiving checks in any of the following currencies:
- US Dollars
- Canadian Dollars
- Pounds Sterling
- Euros
- Australian Dollars
- Norwegian Kroner
- Swedish Kronor
- Danish Kroner
The exchange rate you will receive in any currency other than US dollars is displayed on the Cashier's Cash Out page when you select your check currency. The exchange rate offered is updated every weekday at around 11:00 AM (EST) based on Reuters rates taken from their website.
The exchange rate shown on the Cash Out page is the public market rate. There are no fees charged by PokerStars to receive a check in any of the available currencies. However, we cannot be responsible for any charges made by banks or other financial institutions for banking or cashing checks.
USD Checks will be delivered by regular mail and should arrive within 15 business days. For all other currencies, checks under $1,000 USD equivalent will be sent by regular mail, and should arrive within 15 business days and checks over $1,000 USD equivalent will be delivered by courier and should arrive within 7 business days. To be able to use our courier service we will need your contact phone number and your address must not be a PO Box or rural route address.
Checks are sent to the address listed in your PokerStars account at the time you make your cashout request. If you update your address AFTER you make your cashout request, you will need to email support@pokerstars.com and let us know before your check is sent for processing, otherwise it will go to to the previous address. We will need to reject your cashout request, in order that you can make a new one based on the updated information.
The minimum check amount mailed is $50.00 USD or the equivalent of $50.00 USD. Only one check will be processed per week.
Checks in all currencies are normally sent for processing every day from Monday to Friday.
Checks in US Dollars ($ / USD)
To receive a check in US dollars, select the 'Check in' option on the Cash Out page, and choose '$US' from the drop down menu. Checks are drawn on various US dollar accounts.
Checks in Canadian Dollars ($ / CAD)
To receive a check in Canadian dollars, select the 'Check in' option on the Cash Out page, and choose 'CAD' from the drop down menu. Checks are drawn on a Canadian dollar account with Canadian Western Bank.
Checks in Pounds Sterling (£ / GBP)
To receive a check in Pounds Sterling, select 'Check in' option on the Cashier's Cash Out page, and choose 'Pounds Sterling' from the drop down menu. Checks are drawn in Pounds Sterling against Northern Bank.
Checks in Euros (€ / EUR)
To receive a check in Euros, select the 'Check in' option on the Cash Out page, and choose 'Euro' from the drop down menu. Checks are drawn on a Euro account with one of the following banks, depending on your registration address:

Checks in Australian Dollars (A$ / AUD)
To receive a check in Australian dollars, select 'Check in' option on the Cashier's Cash Out page and choose 'AUD' from the drop down menu. Checks are drawn in Australian dollars against Westpac Banking Corporation.
Checks in Norwegian Kroner (kr / NOK)
To receive a check in Norwegian kroner, select the 'Check in' option on the Cash Out page, and choose 'NOK' from the drop down menu. Checks are drawn on a Norwegian kroner account with Nordea Bank.
Checks in Swedish Kronor - (kr / SEK)
To receive a check in Swedish kronor, select the 'Check in' option on the Cash Out page, and choose 'SEK' from the drop down menu. Checks are drawn on a Swedish kronor account with SE Banken.
Checks in Danish Kroner - (kr / DKK)
To receive a check in Danish kroner, select the 'Check in' option on the Cash Out page, and choose 'DKK' from the drop down menu. Checks are drawn on a Danish kroner account with Danske Bank.
