PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker player accounts
The Rational Group, which owns and operates PokerStars, acquired the assets of Full Tilt Poker in August 2012 and appointed new senior management to re-open and operate the site as a separate brand to PokerStars. Players from all regions (excluding the U.S., Denmark, Spain, Belgium, France, Italy and Estonia) now have access to their account funds on Full Tilt Poker. Players are able to continue playing on Full Tilt Poker, cash out, or transfer their account funds to their ‘Paired’ PokerStars account.
Should you wish to transfer your Full Tilt Poker account assets to your PokerStars account, you will need to follow our ‘Account Pairing’ and ‘Transfer’ processes, both of which are highlighted on this page.
Please Note: If you no longer have Full Tilt Poker on your computer, you must first download the free Full Tilt Poker software. See the Transferring Funds tab on this page for more on how to transfer funds to/from your PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker accounts.
Log into your PokerStars account, click ‘Account’ and select ‘Pair Full Tilt Poker Account...’.
STEP 2 -
Read the pop-up box and click the “Continue” button.
STEP 3 -
Copy to the Clipboard or make a note of the unique pairing code presented on the screen. You will be required to enter this code, exactly as it appears, in the Full Tilt Poker software.
STEP 4 -
Once you’ve generated and taken note of your unique pairing code in the PokerStars software, you need to open the Full Tilt Poker software and log into your account there. Select the “Account” menu and then “Pair PokerStars Account” option.
STEP 5 -
Read the following message and click the “Continue” box when ready. Clicking on “Cancel” or “X” will close the pop-up and halt the process. However, you will be able to return and start again later.
STEP 6 -
Please ensure your personal account information is up to date and accurate. You may be required to provide proof of your address.
STEP 7 -
Enter your PokerStars account User ID and unique security pairing code, which was supplied in the PokerStars software. If you do not yet have your pairing code, please return to Step 1 and log into the PokerStars software. If you have lost your unique pairing code, you must retrieve a new one in the PokerStars software.
STEP 8 -
Your Account Pairing request will now be processed. In most cases this will take only a few seconds, however there may be instances where Account Pairing requests must be reviewed by a member of staff. You will be notified by email once your Account Pairing request has been fully processed.

Username: if you can’t remember your user name just open the PokerStars game client and click on ‘login’, then ‘Forgot User ID/Password’ and ‘Click here if you forgot your User ID’.
Enter your registered PokerStars email address and you’ll receive an email confirming your User ID.
Password: You can reset your password manually by going to the main software screen, clicking on ‘Login’ and then on ‘Forgot Password’. Enter your information and a new temporary password will be emailed to your registered PokerStars email address.
Full Tilt Poker
Player ID: To retrieve your Full Tilt Poker account Player ID details, please contact email@example.com.
Password: You can reset your password manually by going to the main software screen and clicking on ‘Forgot Password’. Enter your information and a new temporary password will be emailed to your registered email address.
A. You can cash out immediately, should you wish, on Full Tilt Poker. Alternatively you can ‘Transfer’ your funds to your PokerStars account. In order to complete a transfer you must complete the ‘Account Pairing’ process.
A. Players who reside outside of the following countries, are able to continue playing on Full Tilt Poker for real money:

You are of course free to continue playing on PokerStars.
A. Account Pairing is a secure system which establishes a link, “pairing”, between a players Full Tilt Poker & PokerStars accounts. This secure system facilitates the process for transferring funds between accounts for players from their Full Tilt Poker account to PokerStars.
All players must establish ‘Account Pairing’ should they wish to complete a transfer between their paired accounts.
Transfers between paired accounts work both ways; you are able to transfer from PokerStars to Full Tilt Poker, also.
A. A transfer between paired accounts is the moving of funds from a player’s Full Tilt Poker account to their PokerStars account or vise-versa. Players can move all or a partial amount of their funds.
Players can only make a transfer to their own account.
A. No, you can only pair your own Full Tilt Poker & PokerStars accounts. Only 2 accounts can be paired (1 x Full Tilt & 1 x PokerStars).
There are absolutely no exceptions to this.
A. Firstly, update your Full Tilt Poker account information so that it is completely up-to-date. Please bear in mind that you may need to provide proof of your address.
If you now reside in Spain, Denmark, France, Belgium, or Estonia you will need to follow the ‘Account Pairing ’ process and credit your funds to a valid PokerStars real money account, on your locally licensed PokerStars platform.
If you now reside in Italy; we are currently working with local regulators to determine the process for repaying Italian players.
If you now reside in the United States, you will be able to request your funds through the D.O.J who are facilitating the reimbursement to US players.

A. If your account is self-excluded you will still be able to complete the ‘Account Pairing’ process and make a one-time transfer of funds between your Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars accounts. Please note that once the pairing process is completed, you will not be able to transfer funds between accounts if self-excluded. You will be prohibited from playing until your exclusion expires, however you will be able to cash out your funds, should you wish.
Please Note: Before transferring funds from one account to the other, you will need to go through the Account Pairing process, to pair your PokerStars account with your Full Tilt Poker account.
Transferring funds from Full Tilt Poker to PokerStars
Log into Full Tilt Poker and click on the ‘Cashier’ button in the Lobby to open the Cashier window. You can also select the ‘Transfer Funds to PokerStars’ option from the Cashier menu.

From within the Cashier, click on the ‘Transfer to PokerStars’ button.
STEP 3 -
Your available funds and PokerStars User ID will be displayed. Enter the amount you wish to transfer and click on ‘OK’.
STEP 4 -
Once submitted, please await approval of your transfer, which will be reviewed manually by our Support team.

Transferring funds from PokerStars to Full Tilt Poker
Once completing the Account Pairing process, log in to your PokerStars account, click the ‘Cashier’ button, and then select ‘Transfer to Full Tilt’. Alternatively, you can select ‘Transfer to Full Tilt Poker…’ from the ‘Requests’ menu within the PokerStars Lobby.
Your available funds for transfer and your Full Tilt Poker User ID will be displayed. Enter the amount in USD you want to transfer then click on ‘OK’.
Please note that your transfer will be processed following security review and approval. You will receive a confirmation email once the transfer has been processed.

A. The minimum amount you can transfer is $0.01. The maximum amount is dictated by your account’s transfer limits which depend on your account status and previous history.
