PokerStars Poker Table Rake
The rake is defined below for each game which we spread.
We do not charge rake if the hand ends on the first betting round (before the flop in Hold’em or Omaha, before Fourth Street in Stud variants, or before the Draw in Draw variants).
The HORSE mixed game includes only Limit games in the rotation, and therefore will be raked according to the Fixed Limit structures.
Some mixed games have parts of the game rotation which are Fixed Limit, and other parts which are No Limit and/or Pot Limit. Examples include 8-Game, Round of Each (Hold’em / Omaha), Mixed Hold'em and Mixed Omaha Hi/Lo. Hands played at these tables are raked according to the type of game dealt in that particular hand.
‘Number of players’ in the tables below refers to the players who were dealt into that particular hand, not the number seated at the table.
February 2012 Rake Changes
As of February 1, 2012, the following changes will be made to our Ring Games rake structure. Some tables may continue to charge rake using the old rake structure until the first server restart in February.
True Percentage Rake
Ring game rake will now be calculated as a true percentage using the ‘round half to even’ method of rounding. This is a change from the past incremental rake calculations.
The change to true percentage rake will make rake calculation more transparent and intuitive for players. Instead of three rake components (%, increment, and cap) we will have two components (% and cap).
Fixed Limit Rake with Two Players Dealt In
The rake cap for fixed limit ring game hands dealt to exactly two players has in the past been different depending on whether or not the hand is dealt at a designated heads-up table. Effective February 1, rake for heads-up play will be consistent across tables at the same stakes with differing numbers of seats.
Euro Currency Rake
Caps at Euro currency tables are also being adjusted to more closely match rake on USD currency tables given the current exchange rate between the USD and EUR currencies. Rake percentages at EUR tables will match the percentages at similar USD tables.

Heads-Up: Rake will be collected on '1-on-1' tables at a rate of $0.05 rake per $1.00 in the pot, up to a maximum of $0.50 rake per hand. Please note that the 'Heads-Up' rake schedule only applies at designated '1-on-1' tables, not for heads-up play at tables which seat more players.
