POKERSTARS POKER CAMP AT PCA BAHAMAS– AN EDUCATION EXTRAVAGANZA

Extended schedule for Poker Camp qualifiers, Poker Camp Add-on for PCA “main event” participants with several aspects open to the general public at the PCA

Isle of Man (UK), December 17, 2008 – The second PokerStars Poker Camp will take place at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA), held at the Atlantis Hotel and Casino in The Bahamas. Following the huge success of the first PokerStars Poker Camp at the Barcelona EPT earlier this season, they are running their second camp in the Bahamas - taking place January 7-9 with an extended three-day schedule. Poker Camp qualifiers will participate in morning and afternoon modules led by world class instructors and members of Team PokerStars Pro such as Greg Raymer, Daniel Negreanu, Chris Moneymaker and Vanessa Rousso. The Poker Camp modules will combine lectures and presentations and will also include more interactive sessions like Live Hand Analysis. Camp qualifiers will then be able to put those lessons to the test in the evening in an exclusive tournament open only to the PokerStars Poker Camp participants. The camp’s activities have been designed with flexibility in mind. There are many options open to players to take part in one of the PCA Poker Camp packages; either through direct buy-in  options, using all of PokerStars currencies: cash, FPPs and W$, Or players can qualify online via PokerStars  satellites  wining their ticket from as little as $11.

The PCA Poker Camp will also give PCA qualifiers and even the public a chance to improve their game and participate in selected sessions. There will be a Poker Camp Add-on package for PCA qualifiers that will let players participate in the morning sessions prior to the kick-off of each day’s main event play. Also for anyone unlucky enough to be out of the main event, they can participate in the afternoon sessions as well. The PokerStars Poker Camp will also accommodate guests of PCA qualifiers. Family and friends will have the opportunity to take part in several sessions that will be open to a wider audience at the Atlantis. These sessions will include a Poker 101 for people that might not know the difference between odds and outs – but are afraid to ask their poker player partner. The extra sessions won’t only be for beginners though – they currently include viewing and discussion of some of the most memorable hands from the EPT and a panel discussion from our stable of WSOP main event winners.
