Team PokerStars Pro - Hevad Khan

Hevad Khan
Hailing from Poughkeepsie, New York, Hevad Khan spent most of his high school years mastering the video game StarCraft. He was good enough to start competing regularly on the circuit and soon found success. He was about to discover a far more lucrative pass time however.
Hevad studied at SUNY Albany and it was there that he found the new craze everyone on campus seemed to be playing. Inspired by watching Chris Moneymaker and Greg Raymer win millions of dollars on TV, he decided to see what all the fuss was about. Using money given to him as a gift for graduating high school, Hevad began playing at PokerStars and soon built a heavy bankroll. It wasn’t long before his appetite for playing tournaments was so big that other players began to complain. After noticing the same screen name playing in several Sit & Go’s at the same time, people assumed that it must be a poker bot. Threatened with having his account shut down, Hevad had a friend film him playing twenty tournaments at once to prove that his infamous screen name ‘RaiNKhaN’ was real. The video spread like wildfire and all of a sudden Hevad had become an online poker legend.
Since then, he’s continued to find success online and on the live circuit. At the 2007 World Series of Poker*, Hevad cashed in two preliminary events for a combined total of over $20,000. But this was nothing compared to what was about to come in the Main Event. After six days, he found himself on the final table, eventually finishing in 6th place for a $965,243. There have also been cashes on the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour, at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and on the World Poker Tour, including a win in a preliminary event at the Foxwoods Poker Classic in March 2008. His biggest career cash so far came at the 2008 Caesars Palace Classic in October. Hevad bested a field of 311 players to win the title and prize money of $1,000,000. He also had a good run at the 2009 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, taking down the $2,000 side event for a cash of $200,000.
In his spare time, Hevad is still an avid computer and video game player. He also enjoys watching movies, hanging out with friends and eating at good restaurants.
With so much energy for the game, Hevad Khan is a name that will keep popping up at the biggest poker tournaments for years to come. With over a million dollars in live tournament earnings already won, he will no doubt take down his first major event in the not so distant future. Hevad Khan is a member of Team PokerStars Pro and can be found playing in the biggest tournaments, using the screen name ‘RaiNKhaN’.
