But despite all the attention, the endless forum threads and the scores of column inches written online and in magazines, the truth about Isildur1's real identity somehow remained a mystery. Then, in early 2011, the man behind the avatar was finally revealed to be Swedish pro Viktor Blom, putting an end to months of speculation. Since being unveiled as a Team Pro, Isildur1 has been taking on the biggest names in the poker world, across a range of different stakes and games, with the same unpredictable swings that made him famous, and thousands of fans around the world watching him play every time they see him online.

Viktor also now plays major events on the live circuit, and it didn’t take him long to earn his first big win. A year after revealing his identity at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) in The Bahamas, he returned in 2012 to play the $100,000 Super High Roller event. It boasted a solid field packed with the world’s best players, and it was Viktor who came out on top, winning the title and $1,254,400, finally silencing the doubters who said he wouldn’t be able to cut it in big live events.

His focus will still be on the high-stakes cash games however, and you can watch him compete online in the SuperStar Showdown. He is a member of Team PokerStars Pro and you can find him playing under the infamous screen name 'Isildur1'.
