Marcus Hellner is a cross-country skier from Sweden and a two-time gold Olympic medal winner. His career in the sport started when he was selected at age 16 to join a special high school for skiers in the town of Gällivare. He’s been based there ever since, and now has an impressive list of achievements in his discipline.

Just days later, he bagged another gold medal, this time for winning the 4x10KM Relay event. His success continued in 2011 when Marcus returned to the Nordic World Ski Championships and won a gold medal in the Men’s Sprint event, followed later by a silver finish in the 4x10KM.
He started playing poker with friends during training sessions and on his travels, and has been steadily building his skills over the past few years. He mainly sticks to Hold’em and Omaha, but claims he’ll be looking to expand his knowledge and learn from other Team Pro members now he’s part of the team.
When not skiing or playing poker, Marcus says he likes to unwind by listening to music, and dabbles with both drums and guitar. He also enjoys snowmobiling in the mountains, hunting, and playing a selection of other card games.
