Nicola Fedeli began his professional life in banking, but it was Texas Hold’em and the financial rewards that poker can offer that caught his attention. He was bitten by the poker bug after watching the game on television. He was fascinated by the action unfolding around the table and was hooked immediately. He decided to learn the game and then find out where and how to participate.
The Italian live poker circuit has been a good source of results and experience for Nicola. He first cashed at the Venice Poker Open in 2007, making the final table and finishing in seventh spot for $3,095. His next final table came at a tournament in Portorose, Slovenia, which netted him $4,468 for third place. The start of the Italian Poker Tour (IPT) has been great news for poker in Italy, and Nicola has taken full advantage of an elite level tournament series on home soil. He went deep in the very first tournament, which attracted 255 players, and finished in tenth place taking home $7,794 in prize money.
Nicola has many interests away from poker. He is a qualified wine connoisseur and part owns a wine shop in Siena. He’s also a judo expert, practicing the sport for nine years, and he also loves the sea and hopes to buy a boat in the future. Joining Team PokerStars Pro is a great honor and privilege for Nicola, and he insists PokerStars was the only choice – especially as his whole family already plays on the site! He is a member of Team PokerStars Pro and play online under the screen name ‘N.Fedeli’.
