Orel Hershiser

Major League Baseball legend Orel Hershiser is one of America’s best-loved sportsmen. His career started out when he was called up to play for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1983. He stayed with the club for over a decade, winning the World Series in 1988, along with countless other trophies. He also played for the Cleveland Indians, San Francisco Giants and New York Mets, before retiring from the game in 2000. Orel can now be found on TV, working as a game analyst on primetime baseball shows. A casual poker player for many years, Orel proved his skills to the world when he reached the quarter finals of the 2008 National Heads-Up Championships, beating some of the greatest players in the game along the way to picking up prize money of $75,000. Orel plays online at PokerStars with the screen name ‘O. Hershiser’.
