Jorj95 Poker Player Bio
George Lind - Team PokerStars Online
George ‘Jorj95’ Lind caught the poker bug after sitting down in a live game at a local casino while studying for a degree in Computer Science. By 2001 he was making enough money at the tables to quit his job as a software engineer, and has been playing at the highest level since. He plays a range of different games, including Stud, Hold’em, Omaha, and Triple Draw, and has been a Supernova Elite for the past few years. In fact, the lure of achieving Supernova Elite (and receiving all the benefits that come with it) was what brought George to PokerStars in the first place. He has maintained this highly respected status for several years by multi-tabling high stakes Sit and Go’s under his well known screen name Jorj95.
George has also cashed in some major tournaments, including an 8th place finish in the $10,300 HORSE High Roller event at the 2008 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) for $30,900, a runner-up spot in a Stud event at the 2010 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) for $44,400, and a 9th place finish in the Sunday Million in 2012. On the live tournament circuit, George has found many deep cashes, mostly at the World Series of Poker (WSOP), including an impressive run in 2011 that saw him finish 6th in the $50,000 Players Championship for $300,441, and 2nd in the $10,000 Omaha Hi/Lo Championship for $287,554. He continues to regularly travel from his home in Canada to international events and has accumulated cashes on the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT), as well as the Asian Pacific Poker Tour (APPT). With impressive tournament results that span over a variety of different games, George has proven himself to be one of the industry’s best.
Outside of poker, George likes travelling with his wife, playing video games and watching sports. He says he is very excited to represent what he calls the best online poker site and to be on Team Pro with so many other well respected players.
