CharismA3 Poker Player Bio

Kristian Martin

Anyone who frequents the cash games on PokerStars will know the screen name CharismA3, who is known off the virtual felt as Kristian Martin. Born in Germany, Kristian started playing poker against friends when he was only 18. He was then given $5 to deposit into his PokerStars account by an online training site and hasn’t looked back since. Like most self-taught poker pros, Kristian started out playing on the micro stakes cash tables and developed his skills bit by bit. After gradually progressing and acquiring the knowledge and experience he needed, he  was soon able to move up the levels and now plays successfully in the high stakes cash games on PokerStars. After growing tired of just playing Texas Hold’em, and fueled by the desire to become a more complete poker player, Kristian moved on to learning other games. He is now a regular Omaha, Stud and mixed game player, and can even be found occasionally playing draw games like Badugi.

Although he primarily plays cash, he’s also scored some good tournament results, including a couple of deep runs in the PokerStars Sunday Million and a 12th place finish in a Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) event. As an accomplished all around online poker player, it surely won’t be long before CharismA3 makes his mark on the live tournament circuit as well.

Kristian studied Math at Hamburg University and enjoys table tennis, wake-boarding and listening to rock music. As a young pro who got his start in poker at an early age, Kristian Martin is sure to produce big results in the coming years as he gains even more experience - especially now that he’s grouped with the most elite online poker professionals.
