Martha Eneida Herrera Gonzalez

A successful entrepreneur based in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, pro player Martha ‘marene’ Eneida Herrera Gonzalez has had great success online in recent years. She caught the poker bug after joining the action at her husband’s home game, and started playing live soon after. She then discovered PokerStars and realized that the online game suited her busy life perfectly. Martha considers herself to be a Sit & Go specialist, but also plays bigger tournaments and cash. Her tournament skill led to her qualifying for Team Mexico at the PokerStars World Cup of Poker in 2007, and again at the Americas Cup of Poker in 2009. Martha is also proud of the fact that she has been able to use the money she’s made at poker to pay for her daughter’s college education. In her spare time Martha likes travelling and spending time with her family. She is a member of Team PokerStars Online and plays using the screen name ‘marene’.
