Sigge ‘clarkkent89’ Reichard

Sigge Reichard played chess before turning to poker, attending Sweden’s only chess high school and graduating in 2009. It was here where he started playing poker with friends, and it wasn’t long before he made his way to the play money tables online at PokerStars. He ran his play money bankroll up to the millions in a short space of time, perfecting his cash game and tournament skills along the way. He made the switch to real money after winning cash in a freeroll and hasn’t looked back since. He now grinds the low-stakes cash tables, putting in long sessions of multi-tabling, and sometimes plays as much as 70 hours a week to keep his SuperNova status. He’s yet to prove his tournament skills with a major win, but it’s probably only a matter of time.

He hopes to use his time as a team member to prove his game to the world, but he’s also looking to be an ambassador for the game by raising money for charity with a series of personal challenges. Some of the tasks he’s set himself include learning a new game and using it to spin $5 up to $1,000 in just a month. Another will see him attempt to play 250,000 hands in one week, while elsewhere he’ll also attempt to turn $10 into $2,000 in one month by only playing microstakes cash games. Whatever the outcome of each challenge, Sigge will donate 15% of his winnings to charity.

In his spare time Sigge still plays chess. He’s also a keen long-distance runner and golfer, is currently trying the infamous P90X workout routine to keep in shape. He is a member of Team Online and plays under the screen name ‘clarkkent89’.
