Ireland Exclusive: Play poker on TV for €50,000

It’s a poker TV show with a total prize pool of €50,000, and best of all this amazing promotion is only open to players in Ireland, so you’ve got a great chance of winning.

Late Night Stars of Poker is a brand new show and will be broadcast on RTE Network 2 later this year. In each show two online qualifiers will take their seats in televised heats to play against two of Ireland top sports stars and two Irish pro poker players. Win your heat and you’ll take your place in the final where you will play for your share of €50,000!

There are three ways to qualify. You can play in daily freerolls, daily $1 satellites, or one of three Special VIP Qualifiers. If you are successful you will win your seat in a televised heat, and you’ll also get $500 towards travel expenses.

Late Night Stars of Poker will consist of eight televised heats. These tournaments will be six-seater single table tournaments, and the winner of each heat will qualify for the eight-player final which has the €50,000 prize pool. All you need to do to enter is reside in the Republic of Ireland and have a PokerStars account. Don’t worry if you haven’t got an account yet - it’s easy to download the free software and get started.

How to Qualify

Daily freerolls and cash satellites for Late Night Stars of Poker start July 13 and run for 13 weeks until October 11. If you are successful, you’ll win a seat to a Weekly Final, and the cash qualifiers will pay out the top 15% of finishers. There are also three Special VIP Qualifiers (SilverStar VIP and above) that each award a single seat directly to a televised heat.

Qualifiers take place at the times stated below. To find the tournaments in the PokerStars lobby, select ‘Tourney’ and ‘Regional’, or type ‘Late Night Stars’ into the Event Filter.

Weekly Finals

The Weekly Finals for Late Night Stars of Poker run on Sundays at 14:30 ET (19:30 Ireland time), and will award one seat each to the following filming days:

Each Weekly Final also has a prize pool of $1,000, and pays out the top 15% of finishers. The winner of each Weekly Final will be invited to play in a televised heat for Late Night Stars of Poker, and receive $500 for travel expenses.

Only one prize package per person for the promotion.
Entrance is only available to the residents of the Republic of Ireland.
All weekly finals and VIP qualifiers will be contacted individually by PokerStars with regards to how to claim their seat in the TV production. It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure that all their contact information held by PokerStars is as up to date as possible.
Filming of the Late Night Stars of Poker will take place on the dates advertised within the promotion. All qualifiers must be available for filming on the date advertised within the promotion. Under no circumstances will an alternative date for play/filming be offered.
