Becoming a Supernova

Supernova VIPs are treated to some of the finest conveniences that PokerStars can provide. From custom items, special milestone bonuses and free entry into weekly and monthly tournaments, those who earn Supernova status can be assured of being treated like stars.
Here's what you're entitled to when you become a Supernova VIP:

To earn the rank of a Supernova VIP you must accumulate 100,000 VIP Player Points during the calendar year (January 1st through December 31st). Once you have earned the required VPPs you're a Supernova through at least the end of February of the following year.
In addition, we will extend your status on a month-by-month basis from January through the end of June, provided you continue to earn at least 10,000 VPPs every month, missing no more than one month of 10,000 VPP accrual. Players with less than 100,000 VPPs on July 1 will revert back to a monthly VIP status.
Example: If a player earns 100,000 VPP between January 1st and August 30th they will receive Supernova status on August 30th and it will continue the rest of the calendar year. In January and February of the following year the player earns over 10,000 VPP and continues to be a Supernova VIP. In March the player does not play at all and earns 0 VPP. In April the player earns 1,000 VPP. On the first of May the player's VIP status is reset at BronzeStar.
For increased rewards and benefits, aim high and play for Supernova Elite status - the highest and most rewarding level in the PokerStars VIP club.
1When players hit one of the following VPP milestones they will be eligible to purchase a special reward bonus*:
- $2,000 at 200,000 VPP
- $3,000 at 300,000 VPP
- $4,000 at 400,000 VPP
- $5,000 at 500,000 VPP
- $6,000 at 600,000 VPP
- $8,000 at 800,000 VPP
* Each reward bonus will cost 50,000 FPP. In order to claim the reward bonus a player must collect additional Base FPP credits totaling 5x their reward bonus amount within 120 days of receiving the bonus. Example – To release your $2,000 reward bonus you would need to earn an additional 10,000 Base FPPs. Players are eligible for one bonus per milestone level reached.

VPPs are reset at the beginning of the calendar year. On January 1st, you will have 0 yearly VPPs and cannot earn a milestone bonus until you reach 200,000 VPPs in the new year.
