Becoming a Supernova
The best rewards available, and perks that money just can't buy.
Supernova VIPs are treated to some of the finest conveniences that PokerStars can provide. From custom items, special milestone bonuses and free entry into monthly and quarterly tournaments, those who earn Supernova status can be assured of being treated like stars.
Here's what you're entitled to when you become a Supernova VIP:

To earn the rank of a Supernova VIP you must accumulate 100,000 VIP Player Points during the calendar year (January 1 through December 31). Once you have earned the required VPPs you're a Supernova VIP through at least the end of March of the following year.
Supernova Reward Summary
By earning the required 100,000 yearly VPPs to reach Supernova VIP status, you can earn cash and tournament VIP rewards valued at over $5000! As always, the more you play, the more you are rewarded! Earn rewards exponentially on your way to Supernova Elite VIP status with Milestone Cash Credits, starting at 200,000 yearly VPPs. Expected value from VIP Tournaments has not been included in the rewards total. Find out more in the tables below:

Supernova Reward Details
Supernova rewards are made up of VIP Stellar Rewards, Milestone Cash Credits, and FPPs. Use your FPPs to choose your own rewards through tournament entries or in the VIP Store on a huge selection of items, including cash and high-end electronics.

VIP Tournaments
Supernova VIPs have access to additional value in our exclusive Quarterly $1,000,000; Monthly $100,000; and Weekly $30,000 VIP Tournaments. Based on the tournament equity that VIPs received in 2010, these tournaments are valued at approximately $250, $10 and $2 per respective entry. Achieving Supernova
The tables below represent the approximate amount of play required to earn the minimum 100,000 yearly VPPs for Supernova VIP status at selected limits and games. These tables should be used as a rough guide. Playing the amount of listed hands or games per month does not guarantee that you will earn 100,000 yearly VPPs and Supernova VIP status.

After becoming a Supernova VIP, we will extend your status in the following year on a month-by-month basis provided you continue to earn at least 6,500 VPPs every month, missing no more than two months of 6,500 VPP accrual. The only way to be a Supernova VIP in subsequent years is to have earned 100,000 VPPs.
Example: If a player earns 100,000 VPP between January 1 and August 30 they will receive Supernova VIP status on August 30 and it will continue the rest of the calendar year. If in January and February of the following year, the player earns over 7,500 VPP each month, they continue to be a Supernova VIP. In March and April the player does not play at all and earns 0 VPP. They are still a Supernova VIP. However, in May the player earns 3,500 VPP. On June 1 the player's VIP status becomes GoldStar.
