Becoming a Supernova
The best rewards available, and perks that money just can't buy.
Supernova VIPs are treated to some of the finest conveniences that PokerStars can provide. From custom items, special milestone bonuses and free entry into weekly and monthly tournaments, those who earn Supernova status can be assured of being treated like stars.
Here's what you're entitled to when you become a Supernova VIP:

| FPP Buy-in to major tourneys | Use your FPPs to buy into the regular weekly tourneys as well as major events from the World Championship of Online Poker, PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, European Poker Tour events or the *World Series of Poker main event |
To earn the rank of a Supernova VIP you must accumulate 100,000 VIP Player Points during the calendar year (January 1 through December 31). Once you have earned the required VPPs you're a Supernova VIP through at least the end of February of the following year.
In addition, we will extend your status on a month-by-month basis from January through the end of September, provided you continue to earn at least 7,500 VPPs every month, missing no more than one month of 7,500 VPP accrual. Players with less than 100,000 VPPs on October 1st will revert back to a monthly VIP status.
Example: If a player earns 100,000 VPP between January 1st and August 30th they will receive Supernova VIP status on August 30th and it will continue the rest of the calendar year. If in January and February of the following year, the player earns over 7,500 VPP each month, they continue to be a Supernova VIP. In March the player does not play at all and earns 0 VPP. In April the player earns 500 VPP. On the first of May the player's VIP status is reset at BronzeStar.
For increased rewards and benefits, aim high and play for Supernova Elite status - the highest and most rewarding level in the PokerStars VIP club.
When players hit one of the following VPP milestones they will be eligible to purchase a cash reward for 50,000 FPPs:
- $1000 at 100,000 VPP
- $3,400 at 200,000 VPP
- $3,600 at 300,000 VPP
- $3,800 at 400,000 VPP
- $4,000 at 500,000 VPP
- $4,400 at 600,000 VPP
- $4,600 at 700,000 VPP
- $5,000 at 800,000 VPP
