Joe Stapleton

Joe ‘Stapes’ Stapleton is one of the most popular names in poker, known for his razor-sharp wit and funny one-liners. He’s been the host of many poker TV shows and podcasts, and recently reached his biggest audience yet as co-host on the hugely successful The Big Game cash game show. In addition to PokerStars Radio - WCOOP, he can also be found hosting the Inside WCOOP TV highlights show.

Nick has worked successfully as a TV presenter for many years, specializing in poker and other sports shows. As well as his WCOOP hosting duties, Nick also writes a monthly column for a leading poker magazine, and is also the official host of the UK & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT). He’s also a respected poker player, with a run of tournament results, and winning sessions earned in cash games around the world.

Listen for a password given out during every radio show for your chance to play a freeroll (with a $0.10 rebuy option) that begins at the end of the episode. The top three in each freeroll each win 1,000 Frequent Player Points (FPPs) to spend in the VIP Store. Every daily episode of the radio show will be celebrated with a $1 online tournament. The structure will be a super-fast Hyper Turbo, and the tournament will play out before the end of the show. The winner of each tourney will be contacted by phone live on the show, and if they answer with the ‘phrase that pays’, they will be rewarded with a $215 tournament ticket - good for entry into a corresponding WCOOP event, a Sunday Major or a Step 4 satellite ticket.
