World Cup of Poker 2006 - Terms and Conditions
- You may qualify for the PokerStars World Cup by:
--Being one of the top two Tournament Leader Board players for your country. Note: You will receive an e-mail from WCP@pokerstars.com if you qualify as one of the top two TLB players from your country. You must respond to this e-mail if you wish to play for your team.
--Winning a Frequent Player Points qualifier satellite
--Being selected by PokerStars.com. - To participate in the World Cup of Poker you must have earned a minimum of 50 Frequent Player Points.
- Any player who attempts to register for qualifiers for more than one country, state, or province team will be disqualified from World Cup play. PokerStars may require proof of residence from any player at any time during the World Cup of Poker.
- All tournaments associated with the PokerStars World Cup of Poker (the "Event") will be No Limit Hold'em.
- Entrants must be 18 or older, or the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction. All players may be required to produce proof of age and residence (passport or other valid picture ID).
- By participating in a qualifier of any kind on PokerStars, or in the Event, you grant PokerStars the right to use your name and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation.
- During the Event, strict rules regarding player behavior will be enforced. These may include penalties, up to and including disqualification, for foul language, abuse of dealers, players or any other person during the Event, or any other behavior that PokerStars, in its sole judgment, believes to be detrimental to its conduct of the Events.
- All members of a WCP team agree to share their name, phone number, and email address with the captain of the team. This is to allow the captain to ensure that players arrive for their matches.
- Forfeiture
Any player who does not show up for his designated match will forfeit that match. Any player who cannot make his match must inform their team captain immedidately so alternate arrangements can be made. - Alternates:
Each team is permitted one Alternate (a player within your country who is not already on a designated team). This alternate is permitted to replace any teammate who cannot make a designated match, and is scheduled by the Captain. Alternates can also include any team member. - Scheduling:
Each Captain must inform wcp@pokerstars.com when he plans to use a replacement player. This must be done at least two hours prior to the start of the event. If a Captain notifies wcp@pokerstars.com within two hours of the event, the match will be listed as a forfeiture unless PokerStars can reasonably make the substitution.
In case of any disputes regarding any terms or conditions of the PokerStars World Cup of Poker, the decision of PokerStars management is final.
