World Series of Poker* Final Table - David 'Chino' Rheem

David 'Chino' Rheem
With five previous World Series of Poker* cashes worth a total of $474,843, 28-year-old Los Angeles, California resident David ‘Chino’ Rheem had already made an impact on the poker world. He even came close to winning a bracelet in 2006, when he beat 750 other players to finish 2nd in the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em event. But it’s this year that has seen him break out from the thousands of others that sit down each year at the biggest poker festival on the planet. His campaign for glory got off to a great start when he came 5th in the $5,000 Mixed Hold’em event, cashing for an impressive $93,624 at a final table packed with some of the biggest names in poker.
He used his aggressive style to maximum effect during the Main Event, a tactic which saw him rank high among the chip leaders on most of the days in which he played. He even managed an impressive comeback when a bad run almost sent him to the rail as play got down to the final few. David claims that he can’t even imagine what it would be like to win $9,119,517, but he’ll no doubt be doing everything he can to try and find out. David goes into the final table this November with 10,230,000 in chips - the shortest stack out of the Million Dollar Men, and the third shortest overall. Don’t rule out his chances just yet though - his experience of WSOP* final tables gives him an edge that most of his opponents don’t have.
