EPT Warsaw: Lodden loading up again

The talk of the press room at the moment is the same as the talk of the press room through much of EPT Budapest. In short: Johnny Lodden.

The PokerStars sponsored player made the first EPT final table of his career in Hungary, the tournament that he made his first EPT appearance in the PokerStars colours. Here in Warsaw, Lodden continues his hot streak with two hands vaulting him from about 12,000 to a chip-leading 32,000.

They were pretty straightforward really. An opponent two seats to Lodden's right raised, Lodden re-raised, the opponent moved all in and Lodden called. He had kings and they were good against tens. Lodden doubled up.

The very next hand it was the same two players at it, with the same result. This time each player had found a pocket pair a pip higher than before: Lodden had aces and his opponent jacks. The best hand held up again and Lodden is cruising.

It's not so great for Kara Scott this time. Having cashed in the World Series Main Event and proved it was no fluke with another money finish in Budapest, Scott will not make it three in a row in Warsaw. She just had her aces cracked by Arnaud Mattern's deuces that flopped a set. Scott is done.
