Meoni continues surge to takes lead into IPT San Remo Day 3
He started off Day 2 of IPT San Remo as chip leader with 190,000, and PokerStars qualifier Alessandro Meoni built on that throughout the day to remain in front at the close with 460,000.
It took ten hours to get there, during which the 125-strong field was cut to 33 and in the money. They'll return today to play down to a final table, where the winner gets €172,000 from the €667,360 prize pool.
Hot on Meoni's heels in second place is Aneris Adomkevicius from Lithuania with 443,500. In third is Paolo Rigano from Italy with 379,000. Team PokerStars Pros Salvatore Bonavena and Pier Paolo Fabretti were among the casualties.
