Day 1B of IPT Malta saw a further 246 players clock in. Added to day 1A's field, that makes a total entry of 385 players.

The bumper field at the Hilton Casino means the event is looking at a tidy €746,900 prize pool, of which €190,000 will wing its way into the wallet of first place. Not too shabby for four days work. In total, 56 players will be paid.

Yesterday saw Michal Polchlopek finish as Day 1B chip leader with 148,000 chips, followed by Basilio Ciprano with 138.200, Tommaso Palasciano with 136.000 and Andrea Benelli with 134.600 chips. The average stack is 49,827.

A total of 155 runners begin Day 2 here in Malta and with only 56 places paid the action is sure to tighten up. Follow the action on our sister Italian blog. Google Translate will help.
