PokerStars Sunday tournament results (11-21-10)
Funny thing about November. Years ago, it sure seemed like November was longest month around. It was that dead month beween Halloween and the holidays that offered to real reason to get up in the morning. Now, with all the live poker action going on, we just looked up and realized the month was over. From the WSOP November Nine to NAPT Los Angeles to EPT Barcelona, we have been all over the place. If the action online wasn't so danged big, it might be easy to forget that all of the above live events have their genesis on PokerStars.
And so we look up to this weekend in which the full moon brought out an insane number of poker players for big action. We saw Van Nguyen and Greg Raymer make final tables, not to mention the millions of dollars that got passed from the many to the few in all the Sunday majors.
To wit: nearly 5,000 people showed up to play in this weekend's Sunday Warm-Up. Read all about it in Martin Harris' Pinowww powers through fast final table, takes 11/21/10 Sunday Warm-Up.
Just a few hours later, the PokerStars Sunday Million was ready to award a quarter million bucks to first place. Think about it...a quarter million dollars for one day's work. You'll be hard pressed to find that anywhere in the live or online world. Jen Newell has the story right here: RICOFELIZ happy with $252K for Sunday Million victory.
Here's what it looked like on the way to that big win.
