Serge Didisheim wins €108,894 at FPS Divonne-les-Bains

france-poker-series.pngJust under 400 players and only two days to get to a winner. But that's the beauty of the PokerStars France Poker Series; it doesn't hang about.

It meant one player, Serge Didisheim, turned up for Day 1 on Saturday and by late last night (well, 5.30am to be precise) he had €108,894 in his back pocket. Not bad for a weekend's work. He beat a field of 399 players at Divonne-les-Bains, a turnout that generated a healthy €421,344 prize pool.

Didisheim's heads-up opponent was Yann Pelletier from France who took second place for €69,500. The final hand saw Didisheim shove all-in with A♥K♦, called by Yann 5♣5♥. The board ran out with A♣K♥Q♠7♦8♥ giving Serge two pair.
