Great time for us women

ps_news_thn.jpgHola, fellow girly players. This is my first blog for the PokerStars Women site, and I have to say I'm super excited for women this year. This is a fantastic opportunity for all of us. I know many of you are superstar players that don't need any help whatsoever, but if you're anything like me you need all the help you can get. Those pesky men are always getting in our way so I think it's brilliant that so many of us are now getting involved together on this site.

We'll show them all how it's done, and for those who are a little intimidated by the massively male-dominated poker world, this is the perfect platform for you to get comfortable with the rest of us girly girls. You can actually have some proper conversations in the chat box, instead of the usual 'what the hell are you doing' or 'idiot', which is usually what I get when playing. Now finally people will answer me when I ask if anyone knows the link to Heat magazine.

So it's been a great start to the new year for me with the PCA. We were filming for 10 days and we also went live on ESPN America, which was a great experience. It was the first time anything like this has been tried in America and for those of us table side, we were sequested for an hour so we couldn't leak any information to the viewing public. It was great and the reaction was fantastic. Definitely watch that space...

As for online poker, I shall be playing regularly in the woman's poker league and this week I have set myself a challenge: I'm going to play in 20 sit & go's and I have to cash in 50%. Can it be done? Probably not but what the hell, I haven't played online in quite a few months so this is gonna be a great way to break myself in again. I shall let you know how I get on. I'll be playing in $10-$20 sit and go's from around 6 in the evening so come and join me, the name is 'Orpsterjet'.

Good luck to all of you and I shall see you at the tables. Keep on hitting that flop!
