IPT Nova Gorica: Final table set, Minakov leads
Eight players will today sit down at the final table for the Italian Poker Tour event in Nova Gorica. As has become customary for PokerStars IPT events, the first prize is substantial: €150,000 goes to the winner from a €556,780 prize pool.
Day 3 finished late on Sunday, when 32 players were reduced to the required final table of eight, each of whom are now guaranteed at least $13,900.
The chip leader is Vitalii Minakov, a 28-year old from Ukraine, with 1,671,000 chips. His nearest competitor is Italian Domenico Cordi' on 1,213,000 chips. Team PokerStars Online's Luca Moschitta starts the day sixth in chips.

Seat 1: Gianfranco Mazzariello, 125,000 chips
Gianfranco is a 38-year-old player from Rimini. He has been playing poker for the last four years on PokerStars with the UserID "bende73". His best performances in the poker world are a 6th place at the €1,100 side event at the IPT San Marino and a 10th place at the PokerStars Sunday Million a few years ago. He's planning to use his next winnings to take care of his family. Gianfranco qualified for this event on PokerStars - he won a €250 satellite. When he does not play poker, he works as a businessman.
Seat 2: David Zampini, 452,000 chips
David Zampini is a 40-year-old French player who lives in Milan, Italy, and plays on PokerStars with the UserID "grisbi2009". His best performances in poker included a 36th place at the IPT San Remo in 2009, for a €3,100 prize. He is planning to use his next winnings to increase his bankroll.
Seat 3: Domenico Cordì, 1,213,000 chips
Domenico is a 28-year-old player from Italy who just recently won IPT Campione for a CHF 230,000 first prize. He can't wait to double that up here at the final table of the IPT Nova Gorica. He is a university student and his biggest dream is to win the WSOP.
Seat 4: Viliyan Petleshkov, 981,000 chips
Viliyan is a 24-year-old player from Bulgaria who plays on PokerStars with the UserID "PSMazak". His best performances include a 7th place at the €730 Main event at the PokerStars Eureka Tour in Nova Gorica; a second prize at the €550 side event during the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure for a $3,680 prize; a 9th place at the IPT Malta for a €11,000 prize. He's going to use his next winnings to buy a car and maybe an apartment.
Seat 5: Luca Moschitta, 619,000 chips
22-year-old Italian player Luca Moschitta is a member of Team PokerStars Online and he is one of the most famous young players in Italy. His curriculum is quite impressive for a guy of his age. This includes a 31st place at the IPT Malta 2 in 2011 for a €3,135 prize; a 38th place at the IPT Malta 1 in 2010 for a €3,400 prize; a 27th place at the IPT San Remo 2 in 2010 for a €3,650 prize; a 14th place at the IPT Nova Gorica in 2010 for a €6,400 prize; a 78th place at the EPT Deauville in 2010 for a €10,200 prize; a 13th place at the IPT San Remo 3 in 2009 for a €7,000 prize; his first final table at the IPT San Remo in 2009 where he finished 7th for a €17,000 prize. Luca is also PokerStars Supernova Elite and the first player to buy two Porsche cars using his FPPs in the PokerStars VIP Store. He is going to use his next winnings to increase his bankroll. Luca is also a student at the University in Catania, Sicily.
Seat 6: Oleksii Kovalchuk, 1,097,000 chips
Oleksii is a 21-year-old player from Kiev, Ukraine, who plays on PokerStars with the UserID "somnium89". His record is impressive: 1st place at the $2,500 No Limit Hold'em - Six Handed event at the 42nd World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2011, in Las Vegas, for a $689,739 prize; a 105th place at the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha Event at the WSOP 2011; a 99th place at the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em - Six Handed at the WSOP 2011 for a $4,147 prize; a first place at the Russian Poker Tour for a $123,456 prize.
Seat 7: Vitalii Minakov, 1,671,000 chips
Vitalii Minakov is a 28-year-old player from Ukraine who plays online on PokerStars with the UserID "vitaminos". This is his second final table at an IPT: he just collected a 7th place a few months ago at the IPT San Remo for a €24,700 prize.
Seat 8: Marco Leonzio, 1,015,000 chips
Marco is a 39-year-old player from Italy with an excellent poker career: a 46th place at the EPT Grand Final Madrid this year for a €25,000 prize; a 79th place at the EPT Deauville for €11,000; a 5th place at the EPT Prague for €130,000; a 16th place at the EPT Vilamoura for €13,968; a 118th place at the EPT San Remo in 2010 for €9,000. He is planning to spend his next winnings to increase his bankroll and buy a nice car. He works in the estate business.
