Only a few more days to help Japan's relief effort

Thumbnail image for ps_news_thn.jpgThe generosity of PokerStars players is never in doubt. Over the years you have used your online poker bankrolls to donate to worthwhile causes around the world, and once again you have given up your cash, this time following the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

With thousands dead, and so many more left injured or homeless by last month's disaster, it will take years for the stricken communities to reconstruct their towns and villages, and longer still to rebuild their lives. But every donation you give, which we will match dollar-for-dollar, will help.

All money raised via PokerStars is being forwarded to the Japan Red Cross, and you only have until Monday to take part.

You can donate to the Japanese Red Cross relief effort by joining special "dummy" tournaments under the name "Japan Earthquake Relief', located in the lobby under TOURNEY > ALL. There are options in both USD and EUR, ranging from 1 up to 1,000. To simply find the Japan tournaments, click on TOURNEY>ALL, then type the word "Japan" into the tourney filter at the bottom of the list.

It is also possible to make transfers from your PokerStars account to "Japan Fund."

Thank you from everyone at PokerStars.
