It's not often that I, as a consumer, get excited by television ad campaigns. Injury compensation ads leave me cold; price-comparison website ads get super annoying after a short while; many ads for stores or cars do not inspire me to rush out and buy.
Every now and again, however, an advert comes along that is so well thought out, and so well produced that it gets the heart pumping. The story may be a simple one, but the cinematic experience leaves the viewer in no doubt that the product or service on offer is something special and worth trying out first hand.
I've just seen PokerStars' new global We Are Poker advertising campaign for the first time, and it ticks all the boxes. Biased? Well, of course I am, but I challenge you to watch two examples of our new ads below and not be inspired to play some poker.
