PokerStars Sunday tournament results (2-27-11)

ps_news_thn.jpgFebruary may be the shortest month, but I've long held that, indeed, size doesn't matter. As proof, we have the full slate of PokerStars tournaments played out over this weekend. February may have had the fewest days, but it was about as girthy at the end as you could've hoped for.

At the top of the list was this weekend's Sunday Million, good for more than a quarter-million-dollar first place prize. Jen Newell wrapped it all up in this post: JustPushIt pushes into first place for $261,243.18 in 2/27 Sunday Million.

As if that wasn't enough reason to give February its due, here are a bunch of other big stories from the weekend.

  • SuperStar Showdown: Blom beats qualifier DodgyFish72 by one big blind
  • Turbo Takedown: Arvaj23 shoots no airballs in Audi sized victory
  • Best Sunday Warm-Up Performance for 2/27/11 Goes to Maethi
  • Battle of the Planets: Spackin ships $12K in February victory
  • Those stories might have been the big ones, but there were more than a couple dozen big-money events over the weekend that bear some mention. Here's a full list of final table finishes from the weekend ending 2-27-11 on PokerStars..

All of the above is thick as a brick, but stay tuned for next weekend when the Sunday Million celebrates its fifth anniversary with a $5 million guarantee and $1 million guaranteed for first place.

    Seeya then.
