Road to 100 Billion: PokerStars set to record 60 billionth hand

ps_news_thn.jpgDo yourself a favor. Click onto and look in the long rectangular box below the smiling visage of Daniel Negreanu. There you will find a running count of how many hands PokerStars has dealt in its history. If you don't want to go over there, just look on the right side of this very blog's home page. We have the information there, too. The savvy folks and math majors among you will note this: PokerStars is not too far off from dealing its 60 billionth hand. If you've been around for any length of time at PokerStars, you know this can only mean one thing: party time.

In celebration of the run-up to 60 billion, PokerStars will once again be giving away tons of cash to players who are dealt into special milestone hands. Sometime within the next eight or nine days, that 60 billionth hand will pop up, and whoever wins that is going to have a very, very good day.

Between now and then, there will be 300 regular milestone hands between #59,700,000,000 to #60,000,000,000. If you're dealt in any of those hands, you're going to win part of approximately $1 million in prizes. The winner of the 60 billionth hand will win at least $60,000. To see how much money you can win and the details of the milestone hands, see these 60 billionth hand examples.

If you're interested in keeping up with how many hands have been dealt so far, you can always click back to, or we'll have a counter here on the blog shortly. If you're inside the PokerStars software, just look in the top left corner of your screen where the hand numbers are always displayed.

If this is your first big PokerStars party, you should know that the amount you win for milestone hands is dependent on how many VIP Player Points you have earned at the table. So, logic dictates that playing more tables, action games, or longer sessions will earn you more money in the milestone hands.

So, the countdown begins now. Get in while you can. As the title of this post suggests, this road goes all the way to 100 billion, so it's best you start familiarizing yourself with the partying process now.

Head on over to the Road to 100 Billion home page for more information.
