VIP Mega Month doubles prize pools for FPP freerolls

ps_news_thn.jpgHonestly, I've been writing about Frequent Player Points for nearly seven years, and I still have a hard time calculating how small an amount 10 FPPs really is. It's ridiculously little...like, if it were converted to loose change, you might not bother digging it out of your sofa cushions. If you left it as a tip at a restaurant, the server would probably follow you out of the store with a chef's knife in his hand. Its just tiny. Nevertheless, for just that amount, you can play for a $1,000 prize pool all week.

If you're not aware, the PokerStars VIP Mega Month has been going on for the past three weeks. You now have less than ten days to take advantage of lowered VIP Club level requirements. It takes only 10% of the normal VIP Player Points to make SilverStar, GoldStar, and PlatinumStar this month. You could play four hours of .25/.50 and be a SilverStar by the end of the day.

This week, PokerStars is doubling the prize pools of all its daily 10 and 20 FPP VIP tournaments. There are six of them every day under the Tourney > VIP tab of the PokerStars software.

  • 12:35 -- 20 FPP NL Hold'em (Turbo, $2,000 Prize Pool)
  • 12:40 -- 10 FPP NL Hold'em (Turbo, $1,000 Prize Pool)
  • 14:05 -- 20 FPP NL Hold'em (Turbo, $2,000 Prize Pool)
  • 18:05 -- 20 FPP NL Hold'em (Turbo, $2,000 Prize Pool)
  • 19:40 -- 10 FPP NL Hold'em (Turbo, $1,000 Prize Pool)
  • 22:40 -- 10 FPP NL Hold'em (Turbo, $1,000 Prize Pool)
  • If you do the math, thats an extra $4,500 up for grabs every day...more than $30,000 for the entire week.

Get it while it's hot, folks. VIP Mega Month is nearing its end.
