Canada Cup hits

ps_news_thn.jpgWe called them the January-Eh Nine: a collection of Canadian poker players who had come out on top of a 412-player field and won a trip to the 2012 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. There was a lot at stake. Now you can watch it on (or right here on the PokerStars Blog).

A couple of months before the PCA, all of the players had sat down for a $530 tournament on PokerStars. The Januar-Eh Nine earned a big trip and a chance at big money. They would all walk away with cash. The winner would get $50,000 and a seat to the $25,000 PCA High Roller. First place in that event crested $1 million.

Among the Canada Cup players was none other than Team Online's Adrienne Rowsome. She was joined by Andrew Virgo, Benjamin Leblond, Sarvesh Pershad, Qi Hu, Travis Wigle, David Labchuk, Luc Lafontaine, and Karamjeet Singh Shergill.

They got the royal treatment at the PCA before finally sitting down for the big event. It was quite a sight to see. And to be fair, we know how it ended up. However, to avoid spoilers, we'll just leave the results behind this link. You can check out that story or simply settle in and watch this terrific recap of the final table courtesy of our friends from
