PokerStars weekend review (4-1-12)

ps_news_thn.jpgI'll be honest. I'm really glad that weekend is over. So much was happening at once that it felt like everything might actually be an April Fools joke. What's worse, there were no jokes. Everything was real. Everything was insane. And it just kept coming.

The biggest news of the weekend continues at this very moment. As I type these words, Isaac Haxton and Viktor "Isildur1" Blom are engaged in the third day of a $1 million SuperStar Showdown battle. They will continue every day until somebody has all the money. As it happens, it's my job to watch that match play out, so you'll excuse me if I lean toward brevity with this weekend recap.

Here are the highlights from the Fool's weekend.

  • Viktor Blom vs Isaac Haxton for $1 million
  • Sunday Warm-Up: Big hands not needed in AA d@n¡ KK's win
  • No joke, leglybrunete wins April 1 Women's Sunday
  • Sunday Million: Lurkio77 levels the final table, wins $196k
  • 4-1-12_sunday_million.jpg

You should also probably take notice that PokerStars launched its first 2013 PCA Mega-Path satellites this morning. Head on over there to be among the first to get your PCA seat.

Finally, if you're wondering who would be crazy enough to have registered for 98 MicroMillions events, it turns out one of them is a new EPT champion.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have about three more hours of railing to do on Blom and Haxton. The weekend may be over, but the chips never stop moving.

Good luck to all in the coming week.
