Road to 100 Billion Milestones due to hit today

PokerStars has this neat promotion going on. Every time the PokerStars virtual dealers starting getting near a certain number of hands dealt... hmmm, let's say in this case.. 90 BILLION... then spot prizes are given out at the ring game tables. All you need to do to get hold of some free money is to be dealt into one of the Milestone hands, which has been chosen as every millionth hand between hand number 89,700,000,000 and 90,000,000,000. Get dealt in for one of those 300 hands and you get paid on a very generous multiplier according to the VPPs that you have earned at the table and the stakes that you're playing.

Those Milestones - more specifically hand number 89,700,000,000 - will click over on the PokerStars handometer today (around 15.30 ET as the PokerStars back office boffins seem to think). Fire up the lobby on your laptop or make sure that you've got the PokerStars app loaded onto your smartphone if you're out and about. It could be a very lucrative Friday.

Open any ring game table and you'll see in the top left of the screen a hand number: #89,687,163,995, for instance. That hand has just recently been dealt at a $50/$100 CAP game table. The Milestones are coming in fast.

What do you get paid?

On most of the Milestone hands you'll get paid out like this:

Dealt into Milestone Hand: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands x $60) + $20 = your prize
Win Milestone Hand: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands x $60 + $20) x 2 = your prize

But if you get dealt into the '90 Billion Mega Milestone' hand then you'll get an astronomic pay day.

Dealt into Mega Milestone:
(# of VPPs in last 50 hands x $1,000) + $10,000 = your prize
Win Mega Milestone: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands x $1,000 + $10,000) x 2 = your prize

To sum up, if you get dealt into the Mega Milestone you get paid off big time.
