Asia, Australia, and New Zealand get their own online poker series
So, imagine you live in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Imagine you're a poker player. You live in an amazing place. You're surrounded by wonderful cultures. There are people who live halfway around the world who would give up almost anything just to visit the place you call home. But...let's be honest...when it comes to big online poker series, the time zone thing sort of stinks.
Now, PokerStars is making sure all those good folks in that part of the world have a way to win some big money and big championships without staying up all night every night.
Beginning today, PokerStars is running the Australia & New Zealand Online Poker Series (you can call it ANZOPS). With ten events running over ten days, the ANZOPS guarantees $120,000 across all events. What's more, there's $7,000 available in the ANZOPS leader board. The ANZOPS is open to all players in Australia in New Zealand.
Then, beginning next week on February 15, the Asia Online Poker Series (AOPS) will kick off ten days of events with $50,000 in guaranteed prize money. Just like the ANZOPS, the AOPS will have a leaderboard with some big prize money on the line. What's more, the Player of the Series will win and entry to the AOPS live main event, a prize worth more than $13,000. This series is open to all players who live in Asia.
So, yes, when it comes SCOOP time, the folks in that part of the world will have to reset their alarm clocks. But for now, enjoy some online series while the sun still shines!
