Rafa Nadal faces Djokovic in US Open final
PokerStars' Rafa Nadal breezed past France's Richard Gasquet to set up a US Open final against Novak Djokovic tomorrow.
Nadal may have had to fight hard in the second set, but the 6-4 7-6 6-2 straight-sets victory told a story of power tennis.
Nadal, who won at Flushing Meadows in 2010, has now extended his unbeaten run on hard courts to 21 matches.
"Last year I didn't have the chance to play on this court," said Nadal, reflecting on the knee injury that kept him out of the game for seven months. "To have the chance to play in the final on Monday is just a dream for me. It has been two amazing weeks.
"Novak is a great champion and will be a tough final for me, but I hope to be ready for that."
While Nadal stormed through to the final in little over two hours and thirty minutes, world number one Djokovic took more than four hours to beat Stanislas Wawrinka in five dramatic sets.
That will count for nothing, however, when the two face up in the final tomorrow and Nadal shoots for his thirteenth Grand Slam title. We at PokerStars wish him the best of luck!
