Red Spade Open headlines big PokerStars weekend

You could be forgiven if you just wanted to lock yourself at home for the next few days and go nowhere. I mean, there might be a social anthropologist who might raise an eyebrow or two, but nobody who pays attention to PokerStars will bat an eye. This is one of those weekends where a lot will be happening on the world's biggest online poker site.

At the top of the bill is the Red Spade Open, your chance to compete against PokerStars' top pros for a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. First place in Sunday's 15:00 ET event will be at least $200,000, and it only costs $55 to get in.

In fact, it could cost less. There are satellites running all the time. If you are at least a SilverStar in the PokerStars VIP Club, you could get in for 500 Frequent Player Points in the VIP Bash to the Red Spade Open. Saturday at 15:00 ET, the VIP Club is offering 500 seats to the Red Spade Open. (And, not for nothing, but there was a pretty big value overlay in this satellite last year).

While the Red Spade Open gets ready to fire up, EPT Berlin will be crowning a champion, LAPT Brazil will be kicking off, and the Macau Poker Cup Red Dragon will push toward its conclusion.

If you need more ways to fill the next few days, all the big weekend majors will be running in their normal time slots. What's more, the VIP Club has scheduled all of these weekend tournaments.
