LAPT and Estrellas Poker Tours return to action this weekend

The weeks fly by. Just as you begin to chew on the anguish you felt after last week's Sunday Majors (I mean, how could he call?!) another schedule of events comes along to make you think big again. We wouldn't have it any other way.

What's more this weekend is the last before the Ninth Anniversary Sunday Million on Sunday March 15, which will boast a $9 million guarantee. It's an event that is not one to miss, and there are satellites running now to ensure that you don't. Check out the PokerStars lobby for details.

Back in the real world the PokerStars universe spins again, starting today. Both the Latin American and the Estrellas Poker Tour come to life in Chile and Spain.

Vina del Mar is where the LAPT will play on for the next five days, starting today, with live coverage through to the final table on Tuesday. Meanwhile the Estrellas Poker Tour heads to the Spanish capital Madrid for the next leg of the sixth season, starting on Monday. It has fast become one of the most popular and successful regional tours anywhere, so expect a big field and big numbers when it comes to the prize pool.

EPT Malta is now only 11 days away (actually 11 days, 11 hours, 11 minutes as I write) but if you can't wait that long then the EPT Not Live podcast is now available to listen to. As we explained this week, the new show is intended to fill the gaps between EPT events. Presented by James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton, it will take an irreverent look at the world of the European Poker Tour. Check out the first edition now.

For now though good luck to anyone playing either the LAPT or Estrellas Poker Tours. Same goes to everyone ahead of the weekend of events.
